- Julian I was over the moon to receive your email, what a lovely present for his mum to be home in time for Mothers Day. Bet you are all getting smothered in sloppy kisses from him. Be careful with his feeding, give him a little but often, easier said than done with a Lab. LOL Well done and a big THANK YOU to his finder. Power to the posters once again. Welcome home lovely Inca great to see you going into the BLUE. Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Email received from Julian: He?s home! Thanks to your posters! Someone called 7:00 pm last night to say he had found a lab playing with his 2 labs and generally having fun trying to eat their food etc. He had seen poster in local shop and having put Inca in a kennel, went back to shop to call us. Inca looks very well, just as he was when he left. Thank you so much for your help, the kids, my wife and everyone (especially me) are so happy. JulianLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Inca's back. He was found 3 miles away. Was just walking about, looking for food, at someone's house. They had seen posters. Seems to be in perfect condition. Jan many thanks for your advice. JulianLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- There's a black lab on www.rochdale-dog-rescue.com under urgent dogs. He's chipped but they've been unable to locate owner. He's due to go to labrador rescue on 14 March. Fingers crossed xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Hi I?m sorry to hear your dog is missing. Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres?local council stray dogs holding kennel give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars.., If you can go down there each day to check for your dog that is the best thing as they only have to hold a dog for 7 days before it can legally be rehomed or in some cases destroyed. It is also worth contacting the local police as if someone has found your dog they may well have contacted them. email admin@doglost.co.uk with a photo please if you haven?t already. You can only print posters when you are signed in. Get postering now?..as quickly and as many as you can physically manage. POSTER POSTER POSTER!!!?I cannot emphasize how important this is, from the posters you will get sightings and lots of extra pairs of eyes looking out for your dog. Poster bus stops, train stations, supermarket/retail park car parks, pet shops petrol stations, lay by snack vans, service stations, bins, poo bins, shopping centres, take away outlets, pubs, lamposts, caf?s, leisure centre?s,??.basically anywhere people go you need to poster like mad so nobody misses them? ask in as many places as you can if they will display a poster for you. Tell postman and binmen and give them a poster so they have your phone no handy? infact tell every single person you meet while searching as the more people know the much better chance of getting your dog back quickly. Contact the local newspaper and radio stations? take out an advert with a photo in the papers pets section lost. If you believe your dog has been stolen then it is very important you contact the police for a crime reference number?. And the postering publicity should have the aim of not only getting your dog home but making it too hot to handle. Cross posted to www.Labradorforums.co.uk www.Labradorks.co.uk Good luck xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
