- If you have a missing pet please keep the faith ๐พ๐๐พ
Adopted Tommy Cat went missing 8 January this year, having escaped from his new home within a few days. I was notified on day 4 and immediately set up wildlife cameras and a feeding station in the hope he would stay in the area, despite it being totally alien to him!
After months of cam card changes in snow, wind and rain, I would study the photos for many hours, just hoping for one sign that he had visited and get that confirmation he had safely made it through the winter. There were no sightings of Tommy throughout the summer and concerns grew but I never give up! Whilst out looking for Jasper cat (and a ferret!), I called into the shops at Avon Way when suddenly I noticed a cat dive on some rotten food in the carpark….he appeared starving so I threw him some dreamies to get a better look and to my amazement, I instantly recognised Tommy’s torn ear and white strip nose! For the next two weeks I kept going back for better pixs to monitor and then set up a cat trap with chicken trail, tuna and dreamies! It was a cold, wet and windy night and just as I was going to pack up with no sightings at 10.30pm, little Tommy turned up! He ran straight down the car park following my chicken juice trail and tucked into the dreamies before being coaxed to the back of my trap with smelly tuna behind the plate ๐๐ The clink of the door shutting was music to my ears!…his nine month adventure was over๐พ๐๐พ
Thankyou to everyone who looked out for Tommy, especially those who helped me poster in those initial months. It’s hard work doing my role without volunteer members helpingโค๏ธ
Big Thankyou to Appleby’s fish and chip shop who looked out for him and allowed me to add a wildlife cam so as to monitor.
Huge Thankyou to Denise at Claws and Paws Animal Rescue for allowing me to deliver him at their rescue at 11.30pm to give him safe harbour ๐พ๐๐พ
He’s now safely back with his foster family Tanya and Dave….for me I am content to know he is safely home before winter and that this story gives hope to all those still missing with owners who wait ๐พ๐๐พ - 2022-10-07 17:05 TrudielovesMax!
- Fantastic news. But where have you been all this time? Had someone been feeding you? Is so I would keep Tommy cat in for a week at least, or he may wander off again, if this is the case.
/ Stay close now Tommy Cat:-) :-) :-) xxxxxxLast edited: 2022-10-07 17:08:02 by TrudielovesMax! - 2022-04-08 10:50 TrudielovesMax!
- Please follow all the relevant advice/tips on HONEY CATS post. Her page no. 173071. You will find then by googling her name and page no. HONEY CAT was reunited . Consider posting a LOST CAT ad in a National newspaper in case he has climbed into a vehicle. Sone cat who have been posted as missing for months (One for four months) put on fb for sharing have been found not too far from their homes. They were all being fed by others. Paws xd.
