Drone SAR update 01/04 - due to the last transmitted position of Teazles tractive tracker being in the location of a large area of badger sett and fox/rabbit burrows which is protected under law and requires professional expertise to examine/work around, RSPCA and Natural England yesterday granted a licence for the fire brigade to use video and listening equipment to survey the underground area near to the family home. Unfortunately despite the attendance of 2 fire crews and an extensive search to depths of 5m, no evidence was found during the search. Whilst it remains likely that Teazle and Obo entered the sett, due to the depth of the underground tunnels, the fire brigade are unable to provide any further assistance as the risk of collapsing the sett is too high at this depth.
In the meantime continued ground search of the area is being carried out, in case Teazle and Obo have already or do manage to free themselves, as well as the use of scenting around the entrances and trail cameras to note any activity and movement above ground in the area.
Physical postering of the area surrounding Ashcott will continue as well as social media sharing, in the hope we do get a sighting. I'd like to extend thanks to the DroneSAR and Dog lost volunteers and also members of the local community who continue to provide support to the search and to Teazle and Obos family.

Drone SAR - Update 26/03@16:00 - 5hours + searches carried out across immediate radius around both home and last sighting given by Tractive tracker (which last connected with network on Thurs 24/03) - no sightings as yet, despite extensive searches also by owners in surrounding area. Worked with owner to register both dogs missing with chip company and confirmed that all contact details are correct and up to date in case they are scanned. Provided IR, red light and thermal equipment for searching in local area tonight (thermal camera not much use today given air temp, even in heavy cover). Have agreed with Cherry and Gill Clarke who assisted with searching today that I will return tomorrow for further ground and air search.

Sorry to see that OBO is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (174526)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
