- Any news on Cassie? Have you received any phone calls?
Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18 - 2009-03-26 18:49 Millys Mum
- Ten days to answer... that's disgusting in this day and age?!!! I hope they will manage a reply before then. I would imagine that there are plenty of nooks and crannies where Cassie might be hiding out around the canal. Do you ever see Thames Water employees around the waterways, as you might get a better response from a dog-loving worker, rather than an office-based person. Sharon, have you approached your local newspaper (what is your local paper?) yet or thought about placing a missing ad? Fingers crossed 'this end'.

- thanks for all the advice gang, I have emailed a pic of cassie along with her details to Thames Water , they reckon it takes 10 days to a answer from them --still no news Come on Girl -we love you Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- I know it's an awful thought but, just to be on the safe side, please check with whoever is in charge of the canal system and waterways close to you. Is it Thames Water? Always best to rule it out to give you the momentum to continue the search for Cassie. We can't wait to see her transferred to the Reunited pages.

- Jotty, thanks for transferring Cassie's microchip details to the secure area of the site and Sharon, well done for what you have done so far. I also spoke to Diane yesterday evening (thanks Diane!) and I'm so pleased to hear that she was able to give you further advice. I told her that we needed someone with local knowledge and Diane has plenty of that! I was also wondering and hoping whether Titannia777 was around and available to help. Titannia777, if you are out there, a little message for you - HELP please! Sharon, just carry on with the postering and making sure that Cassie is the best-known and hottest girl in town and hopefully it will only be a matter of time when someone sees one of Cassie's posters and puts 2 & 2 together!
Come on girlie - you're needed back at home pronto!

- Sharon, I have removed Cassie's microchip number from your post below, its best not to have this on public display. I have however recorded it on her page in an area only accessible by Doglost admin.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- cassie is chipped, the vets have all been informed, and are keeping a eye out, put up all the posters and have run off some more Phoned Newham council and sent a email as per Dianes advice , we have had no sighting at all, so we are under the impression that someone must have her , love you girl where ever you may beLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Hi Sharon! How's it going? I meant to say to approach your local newspapers about Cassie and tell them how much you, your family and children are missing her (always makes for a good story!) and say how upset the youngsters are. Also, if they do run a story on Cassie, please let us know. And also post a message if you receive any information or positive sightings. Keep up with the postering and I hope it won't be long until you get that call you've been waiting for. Come on Cassie, show your pretty face - your family needs you back home!

- Sharon, it was good to speak with you last night & I'm pleased to hear that you are raring to go! Don't forget to contact ALL vets in, say, a 10/15 mile radius (not just the 2 local ones although Cassie's 'regular' vet may be able to advise/assist on where they are) and, as I said, don't just rely on a phone call to log Cassie's details but pop in with a poster or send them one in the post with a short covering letter/plea! I know a week seems like a long time for a little girl like Cassie to be out and about but I reckon that's someone's found her, has taken a shine to her (and who would blame them!) and who just need to spot one of the many posters you are going to plaster around East London!!!
PLEASE, if any other DogLost Helpers in the area are reading this, could they please assist Cassie's family. Thank you!

- Sharon, I'm so sorry to hear that Cassie is missing. We need to make Cassie the hottest and best-known girl in town. You will need to put up at least 100+ posters to start with (and 200 would be better). Good to hear that you've made a start and have contacted the DW. I will try to give you a call tomorrow although it might be evening time. If you would like us to produce mini-flyers, please give the main DogLost office a call as I shall be at work for several hours tomorrow. The mini-flyers come 3 & 4 to a page. It is not always necessary to print these in colour as you can print them off in black & white onto BRIGHT orange paper. Place mini-flyers under EVERY windscreen in the Tesco car park (and other supermarket car parks) and ask the Manager whether you can also put up larger posters in the car park area and (hopefully) inside the store. Make sure you visit ALL local pubs, preferably at lunchtime or early evening when they tend to be less busy. Ask the Manager to display a poster inside the pub and also on the windows facing the pavement. Speak to as many of the customers as possible and hand them mini-flyers. Unfortunately, many dogs are traded on via pubs but part from that, the regulars will have plenty of local contacts and will be a mine of information. Also visit cab offices. Ask them to display a large colour poster and leave a batch of mini-flyers for them to hand out to the drivers and for customers to take. Also target your local sorting office (once again leaving them with a batch of mini-flyers). If possible, stand outside Bromley by Bow station in the evening and catch commuters on their way home from work (probably better to do it in the evening as they won't be in such a hurry). Ask schools to help as children are always very observant and would know if someone has recently acquired a 'new' staffie puppy. I do hope that these suggestions are useful but, as I say, PLEASE get those posters up. Use those plastic punched pockets (they are normally quite cheap in supermarkets) and put them up with the opening at the bottom. Secure them with at least 6 stout drawing pins and if they get ripped down, then replace them as sometimes this means that something might be trying to keep her and don't like the advertising. Door to door postering of mini-flyers is also a good idea. I presume you've called Battersea. Make sure that they have a poster and if possible, visit in person or ask someone who knows Cassie to do it for you. It is essential that they have Cassie's poster with a full description. Make sure every vet also has a copy (please don't rely on a phone call). I will be in touch as soon as possible but just get out there with as many friends/neighbours/family as possible and POSTER LIKE MAD! Time and time again, it is the extensive postering that has been key in getting our lost dogs reunited. Good Luck!!!
