I managed to speak to the lady that the chip was sold to but they stopped breeding/chipping Retrievers a few years ago. there is no update on any records kept but the chipping forms are left to the owners to fill in and send off so probably I imagine we wont find out who the dog was sold to. She will no be up for re-homing. Thanks everyone.

Hi, I'm in Gloucester and if you need any help then please contact me and I can see if I know the 'implanter' or try and locate them. I own goldens and show so am hoping this could help, she does look familiar to me and I dont know why. Thanks Paula

Thanks so much Paula. Update re. chip - breeders have been located, they are actually in Cambridgeshire. The chip comp. said Gloucestershire but I think that was a mistake. The dog warden left messages for the breeder and eventually they called back. They stopped breeding 2 years ago but are going to look back in their records to see if they have any info that will help.

been trying to contact about this dog, as a local goldie breeder, I am concerned about this dog. has she got a tattoo in her ear?  what other info have you got, she is the 'type and colour' that I breed and worried she  might be one of mine

Sorry I am having terrible trouble with my computer and eye sight, I cant seem to get the breeds up that I want so I put the closest type in until it will let me change it, I think I will leave it up to Jo from now on, I have trouble with acessing sites like these through work computer as security is hot!. This dog is Microchipped also, but again I could not fill in the details. There are no details for an owner but have details for an implanter in Gloustershire, probably a breeder that I am chasing up so will hopefully have more info by tomorrow.

i think she is a golden retreiver..... not a lab. look at the feathering on the front leg :)
