Hi, I was looking on 'Preloved' last night and there was a found Border Collie Bitch, Black and White with Black collar found in Dudley.  There is a photo there and it does have a resemblence to this girl.  If you type in 'Found Border Collie' in the search field, then only about 7 cases (not all found ones) will appear.  Good luck in your search and sorry to raise any hopes unnecessarily xx.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks tazmo007.  Bossie, I've spoken to Bess' owner and passed the information on, will text him the contact number for the Highways Control to try and get more info on this dog. Owner is still having Internet problems, there have been no sightings of Bess, posters have been put up and Leigh Cats & Dogs Home visited.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi, i saw a black and white Collie at 12.15pm today, didnt see it clearly as husband and i were in the car on the M6 motorway, heading towards Manchester. The collie was running along the hard shoulder on The M6 Junction 18. Quite a few miles ahead there was a motorway warning sign displaying ANIMALS ON ROAD..PLEASE SLOW. Police may have picked the dog up.The collie may have come from a farm by the motorway, however i felt i have to post this as anything is possible, and i would hope somebody would have done the same for me if my beloved ever went missing. Good luck. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner is having problems at the moment with their Internet, but hopefully this will be sorted soon.  There have been no sightings on Bess.  Thanks to the helper in the area who emailed Admin requesting posters to help in the search or Bess.   Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have spoken to owner, Bess got out of the garden, when owner returned home the gate was found open.  She got out with another BC who was found sometime later.  Owner has been doing the right things and visited Leigh Cats & Dogs Home, who did contact owner as they had a BC but unfortunately it was not Bess but a very similar dog.  Have given further advice, stressed the importance of going further afield with DW's, Vets and Rescues.  Will do various size posters and email some other info a.s.a.p.  Photo is being sent by mobile phone, I've explained how to register and leave an update.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner, sorry to see Bess is missing.  Thanks for registering her details with DL, we will do all we can to help you in your search.  You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible, we cannot stress enough the importance of the postering.  As soon as a photo has been added posters can be printed by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be registered and logged in).    Has she gone missing from home or on a walk? Contact DW's, rescues, vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo).  Dogs can be rehomed after 7 days, try and visit rescues do not rely on phone calls alone.   Great she has been Chipped ensure you contact the Chip Co and report her missing and check your details are up to date.  Please update us on who has been contacted i.e. DW's etc and if you have started postering.  You can leave a comment by selecting  Add a comment  just above Comments.  Good luck and hope she is found soon.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
