- I am delighted and relieved to see Rocky reunited to his rightful owner yesterday. I attended the property with the true owner and his daughter to retrieve Rocky from a property where he had been kept unlawfully. Rocky’s microchip was immediately updated on the report of this incident and marked as stolen when the CRN came through.
Microchipping is all about keepership, it doesn’t mean the person on the chip database can assume dog ownership. Anyone who has purchased a puppy, please do not rely on the seller to change the chip details for you as many can’t be bothered, they’ve got their money and they know if you don’t update the chip details, any vet must give the sold pet back to the microchip keeper. In saying this, it’s important vets check microchip keeper details using full ID especially when handing back a pet….any doubt it’s worth checking credible databases such as DW, Doglost or the police. - Crime Reference Number has now been added to case. Please keep postering and looking for Rocky in the Bristol /South west area and check all sale sites. Make him too hot to handle in hope the perpetrator hands the dog to police, vets or dog warden .

- Microchip registration was never registered in new families name, the breeder remained on the registration and got the call that Rocky had been found. The breeder now has the puppy back and will not return him to the family. Another reason for everyone to check their microchip registration! 💔
Update from family:
** update 30th May ** this is now a police investigation regarding theft. Rocky (microchip registered with the dogs name as TOMMY!) has been stolen by his breeder! He claims he has already sold rocky to someone in the Devon area (I don’t believe this but please share far & wide as well as Devon area) please print & put Rocky’s doglost poster in you’re area.. DO not buy a husky puppy at any point from a male or female in the bristol area - specifically from the clay road area - yate! Happy to give a name to anyone who would potentially be buying from this area.. this is how he makes his money - breeds, sales & steals them back!
If anyone in the Bristol area would please print the doglost poster & post as much as you can publicly would be really appreciated!
