"πΎπΎ SIX MONTHS today since Benji went missing from John Muir Country Park in Dunbar EH42 πΎπΎ
These last 6 months have been the worst 6 months of my entire life and it’s impossible to put into words how hurt, confused, lost I am without Benji, I just want answers, I can’t move forward or grief because I don’t know anything π€·π½βοΈπ
Someone has to know where he is and do the honest thing and give him back to his family who miss him so so much. I’d do absolutely anything to have Benji home with us for Christmas it really would make what’s been a horrible 2022 an amazing one ππ€π½
π₯π₯ Please can you keep sharing, all it takes is that one person to spot him and make that call or drop me a message. Wherever he is they’re keeping him very hidden, Parcel delivery services like Royal Mail, DPD, Evri, UPS and food deliveries please keep your eyes pealed, he’s very small but noisy and has a huge personality so can’t be missed π₯π₯

"3 and a half months and still missing, no sign of Benji at all. Someone out there knows where Benji is. The hurt and pain I go through daily just thinking about where he is and how anyone could take someone else’s pet is horrendous. I just want him home back where he belong, please do the right thing and return him cause he’s greatly missed. π
Benji went missing around John muir country park in Dunbar, East Lothian but we know he’s been picked up and taken so he could be anywhere. Benji has 4 missing front teeth that he knocked out last year plus a brindle heart shape at the bottom of his body near his tail, I imagine he will be much fluffier now and maybe not as easy to recognise from the photos as I liked to keep him short but any dogs that look similar please just keep an eye out.
Thanks again so much for sharing it means a lot and as long as we continue to share hopefully we’ll get Benji home π€π½π₯°". - 2022-08-11 12:35 Jayne - Founder Doglost.

"πΎ Good morning, it’s officially 1 month today since Benji went missing. π’
Below are picture of Benji’s markings, the exact collar and tag he was wearing plus some photos of what he might possibly look like now as his hair will have grown and he’ll be looking a little more scruffier than usual we imagine. We highly doubt he’ll still have his collar on however that’s not to say it’s not been dumped somewhere. Benji also has 4 front teeth missing, he lost them earlier in the year which makes him quite distinctive (also in photos below).
All we ask is that you please keep sharing far and wide and continue to make him too hot to handle so we can get him back home, we all miss him loads and every single day gets harder and harder. π’π₯°
Thanks everyone for your continued support it’s very much appreciated!!

"πΎπΎ update on Benji. Day 6 still missing πΎπΎ
We’ve been very busy these past few days and throughout the night with two different scent dogs attempting to help find Benji, both picking up scents in a few different locations which we are now working on with cameras etc so we’re keeping our fingers crossed that he’s still in the area π€π½
Trying to stay positive and hopeful that he’ll make an appearance very soon and if I can still ask for you to keep your eyes and ears peeled for him when walking around John Muir I’d really appreciate it π₯°
Can’t thank Dani + Nova, Hazel + Thor, Graeme and Shannon, Mari and of course my amazing Parents enough for all their help recently you guys have been amazing and helped me stay as positive as I can through this horrible situation. π
Thanks again to everyone that’s still looking out for Benji and messaging me daily for updates it means the world to me. π₯°

- Benji is still missing - I have to assume that 176800 is a duplicate entry which has since been incorrectly coded as Reunited (I will move to Unkown).
This from Amy via FB this morning (Saturday 25/6):
"πΎπΎ Morning everyone, latest update on Benji πΎπΎ
There has still been no sightings of him unfortunately, we had 2 separate drones out throughout the day and neither were very successful but hoping to get back out today, Weather dependant π€π½π€π½ We also tried using a snake camera and a thermal spotter but no luck, the sand wasn’t doing us any favours either for the camera π
We are going to do a sweep today at 5pm and hoping we can gather 20/30 people to come help if possible, meeting point will be in the car park then we’ll split into two and work either end of the beach. Sweep every possible hole by putting a stick into it to try and stir it, then listen.
We’ve printed off posters that we’ll be putting up all around John Muir and surrounding areas also.
Again I can’t thank you all enough for your kind messages and help over these past few days π₯°π
Let’s get this wee guy home we’re all missing him loads π₯°πΆ

- Sorry to see that BENJI is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
