Hi I checked out the dog at Durham but his nose is too long and not black enough to be Murphy he also looks abit older and chunkier than my boy.  Have not heard anything more from any one at Bare but postered the area well at the weekend.  I got some more posters out around Morecambe also.  My Dad did a good few searches of the Middleton area with our dogs, and I got some posters out around a couple of neighbouring villages alerting some BT breeders.  I've followed up a coulpe of leads from the Visitor article which have come to nothing and will go back up this weekend to spend some time at Hale Carr cememtery to folow up another possible sighting. Many Thanks for your help and support. I will keep you updated. LisaLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks 2 D's and Angus for cross matching and contacting his owner.  Good also to see the posters are getting noticed and phone calls are coming in.  Bumped up due to the recent possible sighting in Bare Prom Morecombe.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have had a call from a lady who lives on Bare Prom Morecambe, who said that some youths were taking a dog around knocking on doors asking if he had been lost.  After seeing the poster in Morrisons she thought that it resembled Murphy. I will put some posters up in the area and would be grateful for any help from someone who lives in the area.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have postered Morecambe Market, supermarkets, local shops, poop bins and bust stops from half way up the prom.  I dropped off a poster and some leaflets at the RSPCA charity shop and  Lush Pups grooming parlour.  I have contacted all the vets and Kennels that I've found and either emailed or posted a poster and info to them. I also handed out small posters to people especially dog walkers who were most helpful. One lady took a big poster for her shop and a gentleman took a few posters as he was doing a car boot sale at Heysham on Sunday.  On the market traders took posters on the pet stalls, a tag engraving stall aboooks tall and dog bed stall.  I also printed some stickers which traders have kindly agreed to put on their bags given to customers. I will go back up at the end of this week and stay for the weekend.  I'm afraid I'm struggling as I have Fybromyalgia and cannot walk terribly far without resting and struggle to drive every day. It's a condition which is affected by stress so there's abit of a vicious circle going on at the moment. Thankyou to everyone who have been so helpful and supportive.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have emailed Border Terrier Welfare both national and local .  there should be a piece on Murphy in the Lancaster Papers this week or next. I will be postering in Morecambe on Saturday.  Still no word yet but everyone has been very helpful.  I followed up a found BT in Manchester but it wasn't Murph. I have contacted the DW and area council lost dog register.  I have contacted vets in the Lancaster area and postered the market pet stores and supermarkets.  I have also left posters with local garages and camp sites, golf club, industrial estates, gated housing scheme and power station staff all close to or enroute to the beach where he was last seen. Thanks so much for your support.  LisaLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner, sorry to see Murphy is missing.  Thanks for registering him details with DL, we will do all we can to help you in your search.  You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible, we cannot stress enough the importance of the postering.  Posters can be printed by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be logged in).    Contact DW's, rescues, vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo).  Dogs can be rehomed after 7 days, try and visit rescues do not rely on phone calls alone.   Please update us on who has been contacted i.e. DW's etc and if you have started postering.  You can leave a comment by selecting  Add a comment  just above Comments.  Good luck and hope he is found soon.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
