SPUD is home !!!! The owners have had a terrible time getting this boy back. He was found by someone not far from where he lives and then a lady said she would take him home. This lady then found Spud and her dog did not get on so she gave him to someone in CASTLEFORD ! It seems that none of the correct authorities were informed by this lady finder and all the while Spuds family were ringing them regularly. Eventually the owners tracked down the lady finder but she was reluctant to tell the owners where Spud had gone to and it took them sometime to get this information from her. The police refused to help the owners in this matter. Spud will be getting a chip ASAP and he will also be neutered which may stop him trying to wander off. Welcome home Spud and stay safe from now on x Pam

Tried to ring Spud's owners tonight for an update but no answer and phone does not have a message service. Will try agin later. Pam

Hi I?m sorry to hear your dog is missing. Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres?local council stray dogs holding kennel give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars.., If you can go down there each day to check for your dog that is the best thing as they only have to hold a dog for 7 days before it can legally be rehomed or in some cases destroyed. It is also worth contacting the local police as if someone has found your dog they may well have contacted them. email admin@doglost.co.uk with a photo please if you haven?t already. You can only print posters when you are signed in. Get postering now?..as quickly and as many as you can physically manage. POSTER POSTER POSTER!!!?I cannot emphasize how important this is, from the posters you will get sightings and lots of extra pairs of eyes looking out for your dog. if your dog is tattooed or microchipped, then of course state so in your posters, but remember to phone the tattoo and microchip people... get them to look up your details and confirm they have the best and most current contact numbers for you. And a backup if possible. Poster bus stops, train stations, supermarket/retail park car parks, pet shops petrol stations, lay by snack vans, service stations, bins, poo bins, shopping centres, take away outlets, pubs, lamposts, caf?s, leisure centre?s,??.basically anywhere people go you need to poster like mad so nobody misses them? ask in as many places as you can if they will display a poster for you. Tell postman and binmen and give them a poster so they have your phone no handy? look up and call all local dog walkers and email them a poster if possible. in fact tell every single person you meet while searching as the more people know the much better chance of getting your dog back quickly. Contact the local newspaper and radio stations? take out an advert with a photo in the papers pets section lost and found. If you believe your dog has been stolen then it is very important you contact the police for a crime reference number?. And the postering publicity should have the aim of not only getting your dog home but making it too hot to handle,also check the area that your dog was taken from?..are there cctv camera?s that could have captured whoever took your dog?.
