I'M SO DELIGHTED that lovely Dougal is safely back home!  It was the best news I had this week - then my pc crashed so I couldn't tell you!  Thanks for letting me know Jan.  Couldn't wait to say WELCOME HOME DOUGAL.  Hope you've learned not to go wandering off and worrying everyone like that Little Man. xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sorry to hear Dougal is missing.  I have notified the Scottish Terrier Emergency Care Scheme (STECS) Rehoming Officer for this area and also included Dougal on www.scottiedoglovers.co.uk so more people will be aware and on the look-out for him.  I hope Dougal is soon found and re-united with his family.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Deb may have had problems selecting the breed, I thought the same he does not look like a Scottie Cross Cav, have sent a text to Deb to confirm his breed.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Deb So sorry to see your lovely Dougal is missing.  Thanks for registering him with DL. We will do all we can to help you in your search.  You need to poster the area immediately, both close by to where he went missing, and then further afield, and where lots of people go. We cannot stress enough the importance of postering widely.  Posters can be printed by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above the Dog Information boxes (you must be logged in).  I would advise to get hundreds out there as soon as possible.   Contact DW's, rescues, vets and police, and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo ANY UK VETS, right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo).  Dogs can be rehomed after 7 days, try and visit rescues do not rely on phone calls alone.   The key to getting Dougal back is massive publicity. Someone may have picked him up, so please make him too hot to handle. They may be waiting to see a poster with your contact details. Good Luck, and please keep us updated. If you would like flyers to hand out, please let us know. I would also advise to get an announcement on local radio, and an article in all local papers. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Poor little Dougal.  You need to get posters up a.s.a.p. all around area and sent to vets (you can find local vets by clicking on logo right hand side of our home page).  Call local Councils and Kennels and visit if you can to see if he's been taken in (dogs can be rehomed after just 7days).  Distribute posters to milkmen, postmen, delivery men, schools, shops, POs, bus & rail stns. etc. and make him known as widely as possible.  Check any roads, rivers etc. I will inform STECS (Scottie Rescue).  Do hope Dougal be home safely very soon.   Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
