- Thanks Anne C for your comments, I will alert Coral to your post. I was in Halewood RSPCA today to reunite two Huskies (Holly & Wolfie) with their owner, had a look round to see if any other dogs on DL was in there. Ashka's poster is still displayed in the Reception. Jan x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Hi Coral, I know this is a long shot but as I've had my french bulldog stolen from Newcastle, my friend in London has been to Battersea Dogs Home today and said there was a beautiful grey and white husky there. I know your girl is chipped but the lady who worked there said that if a dog is stolen and dumped in London, it's usually at Battersea D.H. She told my friend to go and look for my Poppy at least 7 days after today but not more than 8 days. She didn't seem to make much of the fact that the dog's chipped. It HAS to be worth a try to see if it could be your little girl x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Coral, forgot to mention when speaking to you yesterday, we did see in the distance someone on one of those cross country buggy things!! on the Ribbleway, I would think checking cattle. Would it be worth you ringing farmers in the area? Hubby also thought it may be a idea if you could find any micro lite clubs, as we do see a few flying about, they would have a birds eye view. Good luck with your search.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Do hope the sighting was her. I walk Hesketh Bank side of river, and have been looking, but have never seen any sign of her. There is a Clay shoot in the area of the Dolphin on a Sunday, hopefully someone after seeing poster may remember seeing her!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Thanks Yasa for the email alert. Have spoken to Coral and we have looked at the area on a map, found the details of the Dolpin Pub which is in the PR4 area. Coral is going to contact the DW's in the area/surrounding areas again tomorrow and telephone the pub to see if they have noticed her in the area. Great that there has been a sighting. We will also alert helpers in the area. When at the Rochdale Show 14th June did display her poster and anyone in the area who visited the stand let them know about Ashka, some people were aware of her already and on the look out. Thank you to the caller. Good luck Coral. Jan x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Thanks Jan for the details.I have had a call from a lady in the Southport area 25th june she was walking by Hesketh Bank and noticed a dog on the Longton Marsh side of the Bank. When she saw the Poster she said it was Ashka. She was running around accross the river so the lady could not get there. How do we look for her? We have been there looking and had no joy. Can the Dog Warden go round that area? Is there anything else we can do? I will call the warden tomorrow and see. Is there a pub near by called The Dolphin? the lady said to put a poster up in there. Will see what happens. CoralLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Have spoken to Coral tonight and discussed Scenting and what to do if they see her etc. Great she has been spotted in the same area, which is away from roads. Coral will be going there and will check with any landowners that it is o.k. to go on the land. Look for any wooded area and water supply. SCENTING/MAPPING Instructions and other dogs pages emailed of dogs who have been out and now reunited. Also discussed a BBQ and best times to go to the area. Fingers crossed Ashka is sighted and Coral gets there at the right time. Good luck. Jan x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Owner - So sorry Ashka has gone missing. Your poster can be printed from her page by clicking on DOG POSTER 1 on the left hand side above the dogs details box. You must be logged in to do this. Please get as many posters up as you can, immediately, and inform all authorities, Dog Warden, Rescues, Police, and vets in case she has been picked up. It is important that you check with your local pounds every day, as dogs can be rehomed after seven days if not claimed. Good luck. Barbara Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
