- I'm sure you will get a lot of advice on here but until you do empty his used cat litter if you still have it outside your door. If the actual litter has been changed then the tray. Put his bed in a dry area where he will be able to smell it if he's able to get out and leave some of your unwashed clothing and his bedding on your washing line so the breeze will carry the odour. Leaflet and put posters on your gates and fences etc as he may have been locked in a shed, garage etc if someone has been mowing especially if they have since gone away he could be locked in. We recently lost one of ours and we think (our neighbours had just returned from a holiday) that he may have been let into the house by another neighbour caring for them and he'd got trapped. We wouldn't really have thought he was in there as they'd been away prior to our cat going off but it was such a coincidence he arrived home just after they did. Check all possibilities. Also phone all the vets, not just yours, in a good 5 mile radius. If someone picks up an animal they tend to take it to their nearest vets not yours. Also empty your vacuum cleaner contents in your garden - sorry this is assuming you have a garden for all these tips - hope Teddy's home soon xxx
