I am so upset to tell you that Gina didnt make it home. I have had an email from a friend in the area. I am so very very sorry for the family, and all tey have gone through. My love to them all, and everyone involved. :-  Email - Gina was found the early hours of Wednesday morning.  She had been hit by a car on the main road and it was fatal.
So upsetting.  Sorry to have to tell you this.  At least she is reunited with her beloved 'dad' now.

Nikki - that is kind of you. I have just had a call from the actual owners daughter, who I have been able to talk through the scenting proceedure to. She will follow this through now, and we will see if we can get her to stay around home. It may take quite a while for Gina to feel calm and safe enough to give herself up, and in the meantime, we are telling people that if they see Gina, to not approach, but to call numbers that are on the poster. Nikki - Please, if you are local, and feel you can help, then do ring the first number on the poster, as owner is puting a feeding plan in action, and you may be able to help. I'm hopeing to receive a photo of Gina by email later, and will then provide a poster and flyers. Thanks. Scenting guidelines have been emailed to owners daughter.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Gina has gone missing during very tragic circumstances of a house fire. She has run off, and is very traumatised, but does know the area, and was seen back by the house yesterday morning at about 8.30, but took off again. Family and friends are doing a very good job of informing all authorities including dog wardens, rescues and vets, and many people in the area are aware. I have advised on scenting, and leaving food regularly, so hopefully, she will venture back. However I am hopeing that a photograph will be emailed to admin@doglost.co.uk some time later this evening. Notices have been put up in the area, which is very very rural and open ground. I'm sure Gina will find cover and a warm place to shelter until she is ready to go home. Stay safe Gina, until you are home.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sorry to hear of your loss. Have you tried the dog rescue down the road to you? Also tell the dog wardens, local people etc. The Evening Telegraph should put a piece in the paper for you. Good luck.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
