From owner via FB: "Thank you all so much, the same thing happened twenty years ago and the whole village seemed to mobilise then too. This time many weren't here twenty years ago and some not even born, I'm so glad we got a happy ending this time. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts".

I am not sure who is closest to you but suggest you try both.

Standard advice sheets sent, including scam alert poster.
Will share to DogLost Central Scotland FB group and to other local groups where I can (North & South Lanarkshire Lost Found Pets in Scotland). Also to LANARKSHIRE TRAP AND SCAN CREW, Dachshund's Scotland and Lost Dogs Dumfries & Galloway as just across the county boundary.
