When tomorrow starts without me and I’m not there to see
The sun will rise to find your eyes are filled with tears for me
When tomorrow starts without me, understand you must
An angel came and called my name, in her I placed my trust
Perhaps God tires of always calling the aged to His fold
And so He picks a rosebud before it can grow old
God knows how much we love them and so He picks but few
To make the land of heaven more beautiful to view
When tomorrow starts without me you?ll ask yourself, but why?
For the saddest words that mankind knows will always be "good-bye"
But I?ll still be watching over you, never to depart
When tomorrow starts without me, I?m still there in your heart i am so sorry my thoughts are with you xx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18 - 2009-04-13 15:31 Reynard
- Sad email from owner:
Thank you very much for all your help and support. Unfortunately we have found him - he was run over by a car! The driver didn't even stop and a farmer who actually saw the incident took his body in. For some reason the police and the local dog warden didn't make the connection that this was Arkie.
Thanks you so much.
Rgds
RIP Arkie xxx

- Email from owner:
He went missing Thursday evening with another lab in Ash Mill, near South Molton in North Devon. Both dogs were seen around Rose Ash, apparantly heading back. The black lab was back home early Friday morning, Arkie wasn't. There are a lot of holiday makers going down the A361 (the road right next to our farm).
Unfortunately he has not been chipped or tattooed and also has no tag on his collar.

- Hi I?m sorry to hear Arkie is missing. Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres?local council stray dogs holding kennel give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars.., If you can go down there each day to check for your dog that is the best thing as they only have to hold a dog for 7 days before it can legally be rehomed or in some cases destroyed. It is also worth contacting the local police as if someone has found your dog they may well have contacted them. email admin@doglost.co.uk with a photo please if you haven?t already.Posters can be printed once a photo has been added by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be registered and logged in). Get postering now?..as quickly and as many as you can physically manage. POSTER POSTER POSTER!!!?I cannot emphasize how important this is, from the posters you will get sightings and lots of extra pairs of eyes looking out for your dog. if your dog is tattooed or microchipped, then of course state so in your posters, but remember to phone the tattoo and microchip people... get them to look up your details and confirm they have the best and most current contact numbers for you. And a backup if possible. Poster bus stops, train stations, supermarket/retail park car parks, pet shops petrol stations, lay by snack vans, service stations, bins, poo bins, shopping centres, take away outlets, pubs, lamposts, caf?s, leisure centre?s,??.basically anywhere people go you need to poster like mad so nobody misses them? ask in as many places as you can if they will display a poster for you. Tell postman and binmen and give them a poster so they have your phone no handy? look up and call all local dog walkers and email them a poster if possible. in fact tell every single person you meet while searching as the more people know the much better chance of getting your dog back quickly. Contact the local newspaper and radio stations? take out an advert with a photo in the papers pets section lost and found. If you believe your dog has been stolen then it is very important you contact the police for a crime reference number?. And the postering publicity should have the aim of not only getting your dog home but making it too hot to handle, also check the area that your dog was taken from?..are there cctv camera?s that could have captured whoever took your dog?. Cross posted to www.Labradorforums.co.uk www.Labradorks.co.uk Good luck xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
