Marley has never been claimed and gone well over the 28 days since being found and reported to the DW etc.  He will now be staying with his new adoptive family who have cared for him.  Will be getting CHIPPED. TATTOOED and NEUTERED a.s.a.p.  Well done Sis and all for looking after him he has really settled well within the family and is a different dog from when you first found him.  Good luck for the future.  xxx Looking forward to seeing Marley get a Schnauzer cut when his coat has grown back.  x The two pics show how different a clipped and unclipped breed can look and why it is so important to take photo/s of the different length of coat.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Marley has so settled down in his new home, it is now 28 days since he was found and reported to the DW.  Will contact DW again to let them know he will be staying with his new family as no-one has claimed him.  He has calmed down now and after following some advice I gave them he is no longer wandering off when the gate has accidently left open.  He is now playing with squeeky toys which he did not know how to but would run away from them.  He is very much a lap dog and loves to jump on their knee. Will be arranging to get him Chipped, Neutered a.s.a.p.  They had to get him a full clip as his coat was that matted, once it grows back he will be getting a Schnauzer type cut.  The groomer was pleased with the way he was when getting clipped.  He looks a completely different dog now. Have asked for an updated pic and he can then be moved into the BLUE.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Still no-one has claimed him.  Sis' children have named him Marley he is quite an escape artist and has got out a few times, we have all gone out looking for him and he wanders around as if he has not got a care in the world.  His coat is well matted and needs clipping by a groomer, which will be done once the 28 days are up  if he has not been claimed.  Jan x   Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Called into RSPCA today to check on some of the dogs, this boys details have now been left with them, up to now no-one has made any enquiries but a lot of people may not realise the RSPCA was open today.  Visited Sis last night, he is well settled as if he as been there all his life.  Is about the size of a Cairn and if clipped could well look like a Mini Schnauzer. Just goes to show when dogs are missing and everyone is worried sick they could be having the life of riley and being well looked after.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Second photo now added, he looks much better after having had a bath and some grooming, he had twigs stuck to his coat.  He was very well behaved while getting his bath.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

AW has checked he is not Chipped.  My sis will look after him rather than put him in the RSPCA, I'll report him to RSPCA and vets etc, also upload another photo asap.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I've reported him to out of hours AW, waiting for them to ring back, they will go and scan him.  This little feller is very friendly, has had a bath and is being pampered.  He looks like a Yorkie Cross.  Someone must be missing him.  Will sort some found posters.  Jan  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
