Email received from Kelly & Jef: Hi Jan I just wanted to say a massive thank you for helping us out so much over the last 48 hours to find Jill. We went to see her at the Pet Medic Emergency hospital last night, and she was very happy to see us ? to say the least! She wasn?t very well though and had to have an emergency operation in the night as they suspected her bladder had been punctured in the attack. It wasn?t though ? which is great news, but she has had to have a very large 1cm wide hole in her thigh/groin area stitched up (from the dogs teeth) and is on a drip to re-hydrate her. Hopefully she will be allowed out tomorrow. I?ve attached a picture of her at the Vets ? when she really didn?t want us to say goodbye!! Again, I just want to thank you for everything. I think what you do, just from the goodness of your heart, is truly wonderful. A million thank you?s! Kelly & Jeff (and Jack and Jill!!!)Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Im so pleased this little girl is home, well done to all concerned and hope her bite wound is soon on the mend. Just wish people with dogs that can bite would not let them off the leads, this could have ended up much worse for this poor little girl.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I thought she was going to be hurt so bad, with the collar being chewed through, and all that, but I guess the collar probably saved her life. Someone was watching over her !!!!  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Really hard when owners put details on so late at night, knowing whether to contact or not.  After first brief conversation with Jef (he was still out looking for her) just after 23.00 hrs, I contacted Petmedics straight away checked if she was there and left her description and Jef's contact details.  So pleased she has been found.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Made my night as well Jan !! Great news. She came on here so late last night, and it was all such a panic as we thought she may be so badly hurt, but this is just the very best news. Well done to those brilliant owners, and thanks to Petmedics. So pleased she is going to be ok. Welcome home Jill x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Woo Hoo she has been FOUND, it is now 2140 hrs.  Jill has been picked up by Petmedics, owners are on their way to collect her, she has puncture wounds on her belly but they think she is o.k.  Made my night to receive this brillant news, great to see her going into the BLUE and to know she is in safe hands now.  Well done to Petmedics and her family for the hard work they have put in in their search for her.  Welcome home Jill hope you are o.k.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jill was being cared for by a relative who has registered her on DL.  They have been out searching since she has gone missing, it was passed midnight by time we got to speak to each other.  DW has been informed, local Council is shut until after the Bank Holiday.  Owners returned from their holiday today and have also been searchng for her.  Fingers crossed they get good news tomorrow when they will start postering and delivering flyers to houses around the area she went missing.  Good luck.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I've contacted Pet Medics (0161 794 4999) she has not been taken in but they now have details logged.  Owner should also try Manchester & Cheshire Dogs Home at Mossbrook Road, Harpurhey, Manchester, M9 5PG. (0871 918 1212).  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jeff, sorry to see Jill is missing.  Thanks for registering her details with DL, we will do all we can to help you in your search.  You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible, we cannot stress enough the importance of the postering.  Posters can be printed once a photo has been added by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be logged in).  Contact DW's, rescues, vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo).  Dogs can be rehomed after 7 days, try and visit rescues do not rely on phone calls alone.  Please update us on who has been contacted i.e. DW's etc and if you have started postering.  You can leave a comment by selecting  Add a comment  just above Comments.  Good luck and hope she are found soon.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
