Little girly, my heart goes out to your owners. Wee Brillo, pretty little lady, I am so sorry you were found too late. Hope this brings some comfort. Friend, please don't mourn for me
I'm still here, though you don't see.
I'm right by your side each night and day
and within your heart I long to stay.
My body is gone but I'm always near.
I'm everything you feel, see or hear.
My spirit is free, but I'll never depart
as long as you keep me alive in your heart.
I'll never wander out of your sight-
I'm the brightest star on a summer night.
I'll never be beyond your reach-
I'm the warm moist sand when you're at the beach.
I'm the colorful leaves when fall comes around
and the pure white snow that blankets the ground.
I'm the beautiful flowers of which you're so fond,
The clear cool water in a quiet pond.
I'm the first bright blossom you'll see in the spring,
The first warm raindrop that April will bring.
I'm the first ray of light when the sun starts to shine,
and you'll see that the face in the moon is mine.
When you start thinking there's no one to love you,
you can talk to me through the Lord above you.
I'll whisper my answer through the leaves on the trees,
and you'll feel my presence in the soft summer breeze.
I'm the hot salty tears that flow when you weep
and the beautiful dreams that come while you sleep.
I'm the smile you see on a baby's face.
Just look for me, friend, I'm everyplace! Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

What can I say, its the worst ending for poor Brillo and her devastated owner. Perhaps we can learn from it. We'll never know what really happened, we know it out of character fro her to be away from her sister Chaos and her owner, ever. I think I have notifed most people. Michelle & The kind people at Scapers sent this: I am so very very sorry to hear this sad news. Thank you for letting us know; and please use me again to help with posters. My deepest heart felt condolences to Brillo?s owner.Michelle Scampers Thanks for all the help - what a Team FLY xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Its with a very heavy heart - I have to give the worst and saddest possible news. Poor little Brillo has been found dead. Her body was found in a ditch at Prickwillow (about 5 miles away). She was unmarked, but seemed she had been dead for a while. Poor owner is devastated, and my heart goes out to him. I am sorry very sorry we did not get Brillo home safe. Rest in peace sweet baby x Thanks to all the girls on here who have worked so hard, and been so very helpful, over and above, as usual - you are all stars - but particularly Fly, madmutz, and Gale.  Wish the outcome had been as we wanted. So sorry. Thanks also to all owners friends who stood in whilst he had to go away. You were stars too. x    Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just talked to Owners friend and it seems Scampers rang her last week (while owner away) with a sighting of dog very similar to Brillo running in Old Nursery fields at Soham, her husband went to check it out later and walked around for 2 hours but didn't see her, he spoke to some people in caravans nearby they hadn't seen her but said would contact scampers if they did.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Askmark, they are so sweet but sadly not Brillo, she has a large dark sort of saddle mark on her right side and is tri-color.But someone will be missing them poor little souls.Worth looking at all the other sites though she could easily be out of the county by now.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks for your grand efforts Fly - and your emails. I did actually email Brillo's owner a massive load of stuff at the beginning, and there was a list of suggestions for postering. really good idea to have a board out, withe poster on at all times, and if people could also put them in the back side windows of their cars. You saying how small Brillo is - I suppose it not a possibility she could have gone down a hole is it? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Met Brillos owner yesterday (and her dear little litter Sister). He is going to do more postering to raise awareness as we in week 3 now. Large stand with large photo of Brillo and DL poster and DL info left right by gate of farmyard she went from so passers by can read about it, hopefully may jog memories.Peter send thanks to all who have been campaigning on his behalf - to Madmutz/SaffysMum/Yasa, and his friends in Fordham.Brillo is a tiny little JRT going by her sister who owner says is slightly larger, so could get into or out of very small places. No leads yet..fingers crossed that we get something very soon. There was no car boot sale and they officially start 31 May, but there have been other sales in that field recently and there was one on 12th when she went missing so she could have been picked up by a visitor from outside Cambs.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just talked to Brillos owner, returning today. His friend has been contacting all the suggested places and unfortunatley no leads yet.Hope to meet up tomorrow when the car boot people are there, and hoping so much to jog someone's memory/raise awareness about little Brillo, and get her safely home again.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks girls - all of you are stars ! I have emailed Brillo's poster to all my contacts including all the DW's, rescue's and TLO's I have email addies for. I do stress, this has not covered all of them - owner will have to phone all numbers he has been given. Also vets need doing over a wide area now. If Brillo was picked up by a passing car, she could have been hnded in further away. Would be a great idea to do the boot sale on Sunday. Large posters on boards would attract attention - owner - hand out flyers, and give to the traders who will keep them handy in their vans. Some may also display on their vans. Dont miss this opportunity.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Went to Fordham last night found area Brillo went from and asked around generally. Hard to work out what is behind her disappearance really. Since Fordham has large car boot on Sundays might be worth being up there leafleting this Sunday if no clues before then, and 12th was a Sunday! so more non locals in the area at the time she went? Isleham Road is a long country road but some farms and big houses have cctvs? Thanks to Saffysmum who came out with me even though she was feeling really poorly.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

3pm 21st - OK Madmatz, will do Scampers, off to Burwell later with saffysmum (Gail) to see if anyone around there knows anything. Also have friend from Ely way who travels through Fordham daily looking out, and telling friends he sees regularly. Hard to work out whats behind this theft, how they could work that quickly and still not be seen? Lets get Brillo back before his family!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

A4 poster and flyers emailed to owner and helpers in the area. Have now had a call back from Brillo's owner, who has unfortunately had to go on holiday with family, to an area where the mobile signal is bad. Will pick up text messages, and is going to an internet cafe to pick up emails. Can we really try to help this family as much as we can as they cannot return home until end of the week and they are desperate to get Brillo back home. They have worked really hard with postering and handing out flyers before they left, and neighbours and friends are all aware. Brillo has ben taken from the Isleham Rd area, within a matter of seconds when owners back was turned. Other dog was left behind. There are visiting fairs in the area, but no vehicles, children, or adults were seen at the time. BRILLO IS SPAYED, and there is a ? CASH REWARD. If anyone else would like poster and flyers, email yasa02@live.co.uk    Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Ashmark - and thank you owner for sending the excellent photos of Brillo, now uploaded. She is very lovely, and I'm so sorry she is missing. A posters can now be printed from the page by clicking on DOG POSTER 1, which is to the left, and above the dogs detail boxes. But you have to be logged in properly to open this. Please get posters up immediately in pubs, and pub car parks, around the immediate area of loss, and further afield. You will need hundreds of posters to make this little one too hot to handle. It is very important you get as much publicity as quickly as possible now, and keep phoning dog warden, pounds and vets in the area in case she is, or gets loose, and is handed in. I will be emailing you information and contact numbers to help you, but will be contacting you by phone later. Good Luck, and get the posters everywhere now. We want this baby home.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
