Just a quick update the Nottingham westie. The dog warden has confirmed with me that he isn’t Patrick and they have now managed to contact his owner.

Thank you LouiseB. Although I know probably unlikely as Patrick’s chip is up to date, at this stage we aren’t ruling anyone out so I will find out more and update this page. I really appreciate you thinking of Patrick xx

Please have a look at a found Westie on dog lost site 181238. Wishing Patrick home to you. LouiseB xx

Just to confirm the westie found in Plymouth was reunited yesterday with their owner. Pleased he’s been reunited but sad it wasn’t Patrick. Thank you Tuffi

TO CHECK...found Plymouth male WHWT Not sure if age right though as post says.... Can anyone help, I've found a white westie type dog . Quite old I think found wandering aimlessly, no collar or details. I can't seem to get through to any advice service. He seems quite deaf, quite a few warts. (there is no photo)

Update 16/12 - the search for Patrick continues, supported by DL, DSAR and LDRS volunteers. Postering campaign over ever increasing radius, social media shares and daily checks of found dog sites, with dogs posted to Patricks page also being followed up and ruled out by his family and volunteers. You can support Patricks family by sharing from his page https://www.facebook.com/patrickmissingtauntonta2

Update 12/12 - Male Westie (180816) confirmed not to be Patrick after discussion with Camden Dog warden and local DL co-ordinator. Thanks to those that messaged Patricks page with details of this dog though

Update 10/12 - As communicated via Patricks page - there has not been single sighting of Patrick since the day he went missing from home, or indeed any leads.

Postering continues across an ever widening area, as well a social media coverage nationally. It is possible that someone picked Patrick up and has not reported him or taken him for a chip scan, we hope to gain further coverage from local press to connect with more people who may not be on social media or see posters. Several Westies reported found nationally, all of which have been followed up, however sadly none have been Patrick so far. The search for Patrick very much remains active however

Update 26/11 - extensive search carried out again of home and surrounding fields. Further drone flights also carried out Friday 25/11. Many thanks to the amazing Mark Cox Joanne Iddon and her search dog Nimble, and also to the family and friends who gathered this afternoon to perform a detailed search of the area.
We are now as confident as we can be that Patrick is not in the immediate area around his home, although DSAR remote live cameras continue to monitor the areas of interest around his home location, as indicated by search dogs Friia and Nimble, just in case he is trying to make his way home.
In the meantime, continued support from vols in postering and sharing from Patricks page (below in comments) remains hugely helpful as we keep all search options open

Thermal drone and tracking dog deployed to home and surrounding fields, remote cams set up, family given scenting advice. No sightings as yet, focus has been on searching farm and scenting to offer this dog a safe route back home. Since he has been out since Friday night, we would ask that sightings are called in, not posted on social media and that he is not approached, called or chased please. Thanks so much for your support everyone

Sorry to see that PATRICK is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (180415)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
