DOLLY HAS BEEN FOUND. Owners are on their way to pick her up from Cleethorpes. It seems the lads who picked her up had pushed a note through the letter box of the closed police station at Caistor and when the owner called at the police station tonight to drop off a poster the connection was made. A BIG THANK YOU FROM OWNER TO ALL WHO HELPED.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Badger owners have already been sent some of those details but I don't think we sent them Sangreat kennels. Already suggested Lincs fm but please keep sending ideas in just in case I've missed any. Thanks Debbie for the info could easily have gone over the bridge as we get a lot of workmen from Hull in this area.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owners - Are you able to contact local radio stations and ask them to put out an appeal to help you find Dolly?  Listeners may have heard about Dolly being picked up, or there is always a chance that if the men in the van were local workmen, they may hear themselves when travelling, or even at work if they have a radio on.  I know Lincs FM do usually put out appeals for missing pets - telephone number is 01522 549900.  There is also BBC Radio Lincs (01522 821000), Compass FM (01472 346666) and Viking FM (sorry I do not have a number).Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just called pet shops in Wragby, Louth, Market Raisen, Bradley, Grimsby and Cleethorpes leaving details of little Dolly. All were very kind and took owners details just in case someone should report finding her.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have sent owner copy of Dolly's poster, a list of rescue centres and dog wardens in East Anglia and a list of dog wardens in Humberside. Called West and East lindsey dog wardens and left details. As this is close to Humberside I have asked Debbie Jayne for help.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
DogLostJayne - Founder Doglost.
e mail from owner:   Hi   I?m Dolly?s ?Mum?.  She?s a Yorkshire Terrier, medium height.  We live in a house with land in the countryside and Dolly had taken herself to the very end of the land to where the main road is.  This is very unusual for her but we think she probably followed the postman?s van.  Apparently, she was then picked up by workmen in a white van who presumably thought she was lost, before she had chance to turn round and come home!!  They knocked on a neighbours house to ask if they recognised the dog. They didn?t as we are new to the area so they said they would take Dolly to the local Caistor police station.  This is a rural station with only one officer who wasn?t there.  The men didn?t leave a number so we are simply trying to find Dolly now.  It has been very difficult with it being a weekend to get in touch with anyone but we have called and left details everywhere we can from Scunthorpe to Grimsby and everywhere in between.   Dolly is a rescue dog and is very loving and ?licky? but she can also be nervous when in an unknown environment.  I believe whoever picked her up had good intentions, unfortunately though, they haven?t left a contact trail.  Any help in tracking her down would be most appreciated.  I have attached a photo of Dolly for your website.   Thank you for your help. We miss her very much and have 2 young children and another dog wondering where she?s got to.   Nikki EastLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just spoken to owner he is sending a photo to admin asap. Dolly wandered up the lane and was picked up by some lads in a white van who knocked on doors and asked if anyone knew who she belonged to. Unfortunately Dolly's owner are new to the area and no-one knew she belonged to them. Caistor is on the border of Lincolnshire and Humberside so she could have been taken anywhere. Any help from the Humberside region would be appreciated.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
