We have confirmation that Yra has passed away. To say that we are heartbroken is an understatement. I honestly feel like we are in a nightmare. Losing one furry family member is traumatic enough, but two in one week is beyond words. I just hope that wherever they are that they are together now.

I just wanted to say that throughout all of this, we are genuinely touched by each and everyone of you. People have reached out to help, I’ve had phone calls and messages from complete strangers and friends I haven’t seen for years to see how they can help and to let us know they’re thinking of us. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Owners FB page “Hey everyone. I’ve only just had a minute to update.
I’ve not had a single update, not a single sighting. Obviously it’s been quite a long time now and I’m really worried, I thought someone would notice a dog with a harness and lead on with no owner by now.
For those who don’t know the situation, we were moving home from Fife to Staffordshire yesterday. She was in the car boot with my step dad, and he stopped at Tebay Services yesterday. He went to let her out for a pee and she bolted (on the southbound side) and he couldn’t catch her, this was around 8:20pm. She was sighted shortly after at around 9pm on the Northbound side. We searched and searched in the forest area, calling, nothing. It was pitch black, pouring with rain, we had a poorly screaming baby in the car and eventually we couldn’t stay any longer. Obviously I feel absolutely horrendous like I have just abandoned her, but I just had no choice.
We have managed to get everything into our home today but now I need to somehow get back up to search for her. I am begging anyone in the area if you could please help in any way. We are 103 miles away from Tebay, I don’t know when we are going to get back. Everyone I can possibly think of has been notified (thank you to those that did that for me). Police, Tebay services, the dog warden, National Rail, Highways agency. Nothing.”
