- COMET has been found safe and well in Waltham Abbey Essex. Back home now with his family exactly one month on. Bizarre, totally deliriously bizarre! DamoLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Nearly 250 posters up now. Was contacted by someone who had noticed one of my posters. Possible sighting in Durants Park EN3. Dashed over there no sign. Apparently a beagle without a collar was seen with a boy. Caller was seemingly convinced it was Comet. More posters put up in the area. Will focus on this area. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Sorry still no news but you sound like you are doing a really great job of finding him so hopefully it won't be too long now. Keep going with the posters, it will seem tireless at times, but it will spread the word and thats what's needed! If someone has taken him in, and not followed the correct procedures, the posters will hopefully make them make the all important call, or if someone has taken him intending to keep him they need to know he is too hot to handle and his dad is out there searching. Fingers crossed the newspaper ad will bring in some calls too. Have you tried the local radio as well? Poster local stations, parks, off licences, shops, takeaways, post offices, display a poster in your car too and get friends/family to do the same. Stay strong.....we're all willing Comet home. - What about hiring or buying a megaphone ( hand held loudspeaker ) and standing in a busy place and tell everyone that he is missing. It would be a good chance to hand out missing posters as well. By doing this you might bring yourself more media attention.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Hi Damo. If Comet has been struck by a car he might now be hiding somewhere quiet because it would have given him such a fright. Ask people to check their gardens, sheds, outbuildings etc. If you get smaller fliers made up perhaps you could add a note to that effect before putting them through people's doors in the area where he went missing.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Around 100 posters put up,flyers distributed, door to door visits, vets visited, warden notified, RSPCA/BATTERSEA informed, Petlog updated, Reward offered, Newspaper advert next week, Railtrack called (no animals on tracks for since Comet went), council have not had to collect any animals on roads. I am trying Comet dear boy everything I can. Dad xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Hi Damo, thanks for registering and posting an update....sorry to hear there is no news. Have you managed to get some posters up around the area? As I am sure Stef said to you, the posters really do work. Sometimes it can take a lot, 100s, but its of course worth it in the end when it gets the result! Poster everywhere and anywhere people go, give a poster to postman (and sorting office), dustbin men etc too. You can download Comet's poster from his page here on Doglost (when logged in, go to the top of his page and click on 'Dog Poster 1' link). Also, if you would find some smaller flyers useful (good for handing out, posting through doors etc) do let us know as we can produce these for you. I presume you have logged Comet as missing with Battersea? Have you tried getting some local press/radio coverage? This would reach a lot of people too and hopefully bring that all important call. Keep us posted of any developments, and we hope to see Comet back home very soon. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
