Bailey has been found well in Plymouth of all places! too far away from home to have wondered off. We think he was stolen and dumped as soon as the realised he had been neutered. He was taken in on Monday when found in a shopping centre (a dog with taste!) We'll now be making our way to Plymouth to pick him up as soon as possible! Want to say a big big thank you to everyone here for not only your help but your support in what has been a horrible few days for us. Pity the police wouldnt allow us to class it as stolen, we may have had a quicker resultLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I can't be of any help but just wanted to say please don't give up, Bailey is out there waiting for you to find him. When things get bad and you start to feel low and begin to wonder if you should carry on just picture in your head the joy, the reflief, and the happiness that will surround everyone, including Bailey, when you do find him, and you will find him, I'm sure of it. Good luck and remember, everyone at doglost is behind x

Just talked to owner to offer support.  We all care so please don't give up on him.  Given more advice, this owner has recently moved to the area, they do not drive and really need help with postering. Please call the doglost number if you can assist them.  Bumping up due to phone call on possible sighting.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Done lots of flyers, but unfort these seem to be being taken down, cant believe it. Left note an poster out for bin men,an also for the postmen to put on staff notice board. Called radios, but none of them will help.Heard on the radio that a boxer is being held for a randsom of ?300 in the verwood area.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Got a call at 5pm tonight from a guy saying he had seen a group of homeless people with a boxer dog at 11am this morning by the asda near bournemouth train station,he said it seemed odd that homeless people would have such a nice dog,so we are going straight there to check and will drop flyers there too.Homeless people are often in that area but boxer is an unusual dog for them to have.It seems even more suspicious bcos i had a guy knock on my door asking about scrap metal(very odd).. because there was a couple of bits at the side of the house where Bailey went from.Going to report it to the police againLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spoke to owner several times, suggested really heavy postering and visiting this place.  Could just be a simlar looking person with genuine owner but have to eliminate that.  Postering is the way to find him.  Owner being very active with flyers going out too.  If you see this dog please call.  Bailey is very lively.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Possible sighting at 4:15pm Sunday 26th April. Received a call saying he was by Richmond Arms Pub in Charminster. Unfortunately although i was there 2 minutes later there was no sign of him or the people who were supposed to have him. The search continuesLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Can you confirm whether dog went missing in Charminster Bournemouth or Charminster Dorset which is in DT2 as they are quite a long way apart, one it built up town area and the other in DT2 quite rural.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Why dont you buy or rent a megaphone(hand held loud speaker) and stand in a busy place an let everyone know that he is missing.  Could also hand out missing posters at the same time.  It might bring more media attention if it gets known that you are doing thisLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spoke to owner,  Photo on way to me for site.  DW, vets contacted.  Given further advice.  Not sure if he was taken from garden or got out as fence panel was broken.    Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
