Beau is home!!!! Yipppppeeeeeeeeeeeee!! Just as I finished a call with a reporter from the great Evening Echo who were going to run an appeal for Beau, I got a call from one very happy owner - she had found Beau. After the information was given that he was taken to Basildon, she went over and postered and flyered the car parks and cars in all the big supermarkets in Basildon and a lady there knew a friend who knew someone who'd found a dog up near the A12. All she knew was that they were from Canvey, so Beau's owner went and started knocking on doors (and lots of them!) until she found the right house. And there was Beau. The finders had taken great care of Beau, and had of course rescued him from coming to any harm on the A12 or nearby busy roads, but sadly hadn't reported him as found. Owner would like to pass her thanks on to Doglost and helpers, she is very grateful for all the advice and support she got. She is very kindly going to make a donation to allow us to be able to continue to help others in a similar situation - thank you. Also Beau (and his doggie pal) will be off to the vets for a new microchip.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Information received suggests Beau was picked up near where he escaped from by someone from the Basildon area. The council hasn't received any found reports yet....fingers crossed tomorrow when normal business resumes, they'll call in. Sarah, the Basildon DW, is on the case too. Have alerted local helpers.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks everyone! Beau's owner will be emailing over a photo shortly. He was spooked and ran off from his home around 8pm. This is in the Howe Green area of Chelmsford nr Southlands Chase. Owner has contacted the council, and the kennels where strays go (Wallace) but so far no joy. Advised contacting local vets, and to poster and flyer the area. Will send scenting guidelines over and do flyers for her once photo is received. Any help spreading the word will be much appreciated. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sorry to see Beau is missing.  Thanks for registering his details with DL, we will do all we can to help you in your search.  You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible, we cannot stress enough the importance of the postering.  Posters can be printed once a photo has been added by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be logged in).  Please send a photo to Admin as soon as possible  Contact DW's, rescues, vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo).  Dogs can be rehomed after 7 days, try and visit rescues do not rely on phone calls alone.  Please update us on who has been contacted i.e. DW's etc and if you have started postering.  You can leave a comment by selecting  Add a comment  just above Comments.  Good luck and hope he is  found soon.  BarbaraLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
