cross posted this from another forum... info may help in where to search Christine Bowles has asked me to post this. Yuri, her Black Russian Terrier has slipped his collar whilst staying at a Travel Lodge. Address: Travel Lodge, London Ascot Rd, Central, Bracknell RG12 2UT.
He’s 2yrs entire male. No collar, no tag, no microchip. He’s wearing a green bib.
He was entered into a grooming comp today so has his full coat. If anyone is in that area can they help look for him?. Sightings have been around a Tescos in that area. He’s very nervous and scrared.
The friend who lost him is devastated. Chris & Joe and myself & Mick are on our way to try and find him. Police are aware and i’ve put him on Dog Lost.

Hi I?m sorry to hear yuri is missing. Firstly contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres?local council stray dogs holding kennel give them all a detailed description of your dog with any distinguishing marks/scars.., If you can go down there each day to check for your dog that is the best thing as they only have to hold a dog for 7 days before it can legally be rehomed or in some cases destroyed. It is also worth contacting the local police as if someone has found your dog they may well have contacted them. email admin@doglost.co.uk with a photo please if you haven?t already.Posters can be printed once a photo has been added by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be registered and logged in). Get postering now?..as quickly and as many as you can physically manage. POSTER POSTER POSTER!!!?I cannot emphasize how important this is, from the posters you will get sightings and lots of extra pairs of eyes looking out for your dog. if your dog is tattooed or microchipped, then of course state so in your posters, but remember to phone the tattoo and microchip people... get them to look up your details and confirm they have the best and most current contact numbers for you. And a backup if possible. Poster bus stops, train stations, supermarket/retail park car parks, pet shops petrol stations, lay by snack vans, service stations, bins, poo bins, shopping centres, take away outlets, pubs, lamposts, caf?s, garden centre?s, leisure centre?s,??.basically anywhere people go you need to poster like mad so nobody misses them? ask in as many places as you can if they will display a poster for you. Tell postman and binmen and give them a poster so they have your phone no handy? look up and call all local dog walkers and email them a poster if possible. in fact tell every single person you meet while searching as the more people know the much better chance of getting your dog back quickly. Contact the local newspaper and radio stations? take out an advert with a photo in the papers pets section lost and found. If you believe your dog has been stolen then it is very important you contact the police for a crime reference number?. And the postering publicity should have the aim of not only getting your dog home but making it too hot to handle, also check the area that your dog was taken from?..are there cctv camera?s that could have captured whoever took your dog?.  Good luck xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
