- From her rescue.
“Missing dog Polly is safe and it is such a phenomenal relief. Heartfelt thanks to the people of Timperley who have been such a warm, concerned and caring community. To Lauren from Street Hearts who Polly knew best - Lauren was first on scene and out looking for many, many hours. Thanks to everyone who was out looking and those who door-dropped hundreds of leaflets through letterboxes in the surrounding areas.
A big thank you to our handiman Dave who drove all the way to Stockton on Tees to pick up a large trap from Nick Smith, an expert trapper who has been advising us along the way. We are so grateful for the loan of his trap and for helping us set it up and guide Polly safely towards it. Her hunger got the the better of her tonight and everything went to plan. Enormous thanks too to Phil who spotted her in his garden where he feeds the foxes. This is what had been keeping her safe.
Special thanks to Signalize Print who helped us with last minute van decals when we needed to raise more local awareness, to our surprise donating their time and services for free.
Polly has been the first thing we think of in a morning and the last thing we think of at night since the moment she went missing. The worry is like nothing else. It is always difficult to balance sharing information with keeping a missing dog safe. We tend to keep their location quiet so that well meaning people don’t go to try and help and inadvertently scare them off, and focus solely on messages that will help get her back safe. “ - 2023-03-20 12:30 Sharon - Social Media Volunteer
