Email from owner: Hi Jan,
Just thought I would let you know the great news. We found our Dog this morning a few miles from where she ran off. She was seen trying to cross Morecambe bay from Bardsea beach yesterday & a very kind bloke called the police then us to give us the details. My partner drove through to Ulverston last night but eventually found her this morning at about 10:30.
She had been round the beach area of Bardsea for a couple of days, looking for food in the village as well as wandering up & down the beach which, insidentally is very dangerous when you wander out towards the sea so we are very lucky.
We have spent so much time searching Ulverston & the surrounding areas but we are just so relieved to find her at last!!!
Anyway, thanks for all your help & posters etc.
Best Regards,
Thanks so much for letting us know and great Callie has been reunited back with you.  How lucky in view of the area she has been in.  Will move her into the BLUE now, give her a big hug and cuddle from everyone on DL.  Welcome home Callie.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Email from owner: Hi Jan,
Thanks for the help, its greatly appreciated. We are still looking in the area she went missing from which is Ulverston. We thought she was travelling away from Ulverston due to the only sighting we had of her near the A590 on Sunday but she has now doubled back into Ulverston. We had no more sightings for a couple of days but the people at Northwest Evening mail have been great with a couple of adverts which has produced a number of sightings including one on the street she went missing from. My Girlfriend is out in Ulverston looking again so hopefully today is the day but you never know.
Thanks again for the advert & the posters which are very, very useful.
Best Regards,  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Email received from owner with pics, now uploaded. They have been searching for her since she went missing.  She was spotted yesterday a few miles from where she run off and was last spotted just outside Ulverston near a place called Newlands.  She is heading in the right direction for home.  Will email further advice to owner with SCENTING/MAPPING Instructions.  Fingers crossed she is back home soon.  Thanks Rusty&Livvy's mum for crosschecking greatly appreciated, have looked at the found dog unfortunately it is not Callie.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner sorry to see Callie is missing.  Thanks for registering her details with DL, we will do all we can to help you in your search.  Can you please email photo/s to admin@doglost.co.uk or send by mobile phone, any problems with a photo let us know.  You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible, we cannot stress enough the importance of the postering.  Posters can be printed by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be registered and logged in).  Contact DW's, rescues, vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo).  Dogs can be rehomed after 7 days, try and visit rescues do not rely on phone calls alone.  Great she has been Chipped if not already contact the Chip Co and register her missing and check your details are up to date. Please update us on who has been contacted i.e. DW's etc and if you have started postering.  You can leave a comment by selecting   Add a comment  just above Comments.  Good luck and hope she is  found soon.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
