DogMother. Couldn’t have said it better myself. Hoping Barney and Betsy stay safe now. They have been very very lucky. xxx

Very glad to see that Barney and Betsy are both back home. I didn't want to comment while they were still missing, but it's troubling to read that this is the third time they've managed to escape the garden in less than a month. Clearly you don't need to be told that your garden isn't secure, but for all your sakes I hope you will have the garden made secure now, because to have both your dogs returned home safely three times is very fortunate indeed, compared to what a lot of heartbroken owners are currently enduring. If it's not possible for you to secure the garden currently for whatever reason, please keep them on leads when you take them into the garden. I have had to do this at times when fence panels were down, before they were fixed. If there are genuine reasons such as ill health or disability that prevent you from making the garden secure or from responsibly supervising the dogs in the garden, please try posting somewhere like Nextdoor, as you may find a kind dog-loving soul local to you who will help you make the garden safe.
