It is with great pleasure I can tell everyone that we now have Barney home, safe, dryer, and with a full belly.
We were out putting up more leaflets/posters when a dog walker called us to say that he saw a dog matching his description, (he actually said he looks like a fox, which he does) but that he was going out of his sight, and to hurry. after tearing up the road we got to the field where he was seen, we still couldn’t find him. Then our neighbour calls us and says he has run all the way home.
I would just like to thank you all for your help and support, I thought this world was full of selfish people, it looks like I need to rethink my mindset.
Thank you so so so much.
He is already asleep

e mail from owner:   The dog is believed to have beed scared by two people on push bikes and he follwed them. I was walking one way the bikers went the other. I didnt look up for about 30 seconds by which time I could not see him, after searching, I took the other dogs home so that I could be free to search and just in case he ran home. The dog is a beautiful ginger,fawn colour, and is very friendly as long as he is not scared by kids or other dogs. Long haird, approx 1 foot high by 2.5 foot long.
 
He is greatly missed and we are willing to give a substantial reward for his safe return.
 
Please if you know anyone who has him or have seen him, let us know.

copied from another site son was out walking his 3 dogs offlead last night at 8pm in the area around the Bog Pub in Gilfach Goch, the littlest one, a 2 yr old Minuture (long haired chocolate) Daschaund called Barney got spooked by a passing motorbike and ran off, son friends & family have been searching all night to no avail, I have an awful feeling that if this pooch was found by anyone then he would be a temptation to them and they possibly would not report him found. He is neutered and chipped and very people & dog friendly so would possibly go with anyone!, also if anyone knows of any vets in the area could you help with contact tel no's etc so we can warn them.
