Awwww she is lovely! Apologies if this has already been mentioned in her thread (not had a chance to read it all) but have you approached the local papers to see if they will run an appeal? If they can publish her photo and details, hopefully it will bring some info in. Also you could try local radio stations too.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Jay - great that you've now uploaded a photo of Amy. She's absolutely gorgeous. Have you asked all neighbours to thoroughly check their gardens, especially ponds and have you spoken directly to the local dog warden?

Thanks alfmar - it's good to have you on Amy's case. Also thank you for sending a reminder to Amy's owners. We still need a photograph and confirmation of whether Amy's a yellow Lab or Golden Retriever.

Please can we have photos of Amy and confirmation whether she's a yellow Labrador or Golden Retriever to give her the best possible chance of being found and being reunited with you. Would you also register your email details and post an update on Amy's page. Contact us if you are experiencing problems.

I know that you've already covered some of these places and we spoke about other places to target but here is a little reminder:
all local pubs (visit at lunchtime or early evening when they tend to be less busy & ask the manager to display a poster and hand out mini-flyers to the regular customers, as they will have plenty of contacts and will be a mine of local information), mini cab offices (leave mini-flyers for drivers & customers), Royal Mail sorting office (leave flyers for posties to carry with them), milkmen, dustmen, local schools, all parks (also don't forget to include Hither Green cemetery), takeaways, your car windows (& ask family, friends, work colleague and neighbours to do the same), newsagents, all local vets (include Foxgrove Veterinary Practice in Beckenham as they are open 24/7 and provide out-of-hours emergency cover for many local vets - 8650 2003 but make sure you drop a poster into them), your local Safer Neighbourhoods Police team and street cleaners. Now... who have I left out? Local Helpers please feel free to make further suggestions! Also poster supermarket car parks (place mini-flyers printed onto BRIGHT orange paper and place on all windscreens). Be sure to include Homebase DIY store in Catford (always very busy and frequented by lots of local people). When Samson, the Staffie went missing (now reunited!) I spoke to a very pleasant young woman on the Customer Services desk at Homebase who promised to put up a poster - I seem to recall they also have a display board for ads. I also put up (everso neatly!) 2/3 posters on the bigger trees in the car park, including one on the left just as you drive out! Make sure you contact the local dog wardens as they are very good and may even post on Amy's page (yes PLEASE). As Yasa has suggested post mini-flyers through each and every neighbour's doors and try to speak to as many as possible. As I said, you MUST make Amy the best known and hottest little girl in town. I hope it won't be long until she is back home. DON'T FORGET TO SEND US PHOTOS OF AMY so that we can produce posters and mini flyers. Just one last point, is Amy a yellow Labrador or a Golden Retriever?

Have just spoken to Amy's worried owner. They have been out postering and have put up around 50+ so far. I've advised them to get up as many posters as possible, at least 100 for starters. Interestingly, there have been 2 posters removed from a nearby road and so I've said to just keep on replacing them but make sure they are really secure with at least 8 stout drawing pins. Amy's owner will be emailing a couple of photos. Once he has done this, I have suggested that we get some of our mini-flyers done. Have suggested all the usual places. I'm about to take Milly out for a walk and so will come on here later with a list of places/people to target so that it can be used as a 'tick list'. He has already visted Battersea in person. They don't have a poster but have taken all Amy's details and have asked him to contact them in a week's time. Have advised him about the 7 day rule. Personally, as has been already suggested, I reckon that someone has taken her in but in the meantime... keep safe little Amy - your family are on your case. Good Luck owners!!!

Owner, make sure you call Battersea Dogs Home in london, that is where the strays go to.  Poster heavily, expect someone has taken her in.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

So sorry Amy is missing. Please inform all neighbours if you have not already done so, and ask them to check their gardens - also inform dog wardens, police, vets, pounds and rescues in case she is picked up and handed in. Such a tiny baby ! Please check any danger areas, such as swimming pools, ponds, railway etc, or any brambles or undergrowth she could be caught in. You need to get posters up all around the area and through neighbours doors immediately. Can you either upload a photo to the site, or email one to admin@doglost.co.uk as soon as possible with Amy's name and postcode. As soon as we have the photo up, you will be able to print posters from the page. To do this, click on DOG POSTER 1, on left hand side above the dog details box. You must be logged in to do this.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
