I'm so sorry to hear that this lovely old boy is still missing - what a sweetheart he looks. Please make sure that you ask ALL neighbours (drop in notes, or better still mini-flyers through all doors but it's best to talk to as many as possible) & ask them to thoroughly check their gardens, looking under all large plants & shrubs, sheds, garages and, most importantly, ponds and swimming pools. Not a nice thought, I know but it's always best to check that he isn't shut in or caught up somehow. I do hope it won't be long until he's found and back home with his family.

Scott, thanks for keeping us updated.  Do not rely on the Chip (they can move and sometime not read) any similar dogs should be followed up, we always recommend visiting kennels etc in person yourself or someone who knows him at least once a week, more if you can.  Good luck.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Mizzy and Jan - thanks for the info, i am just heading out now to post more pictures/posters locally. The local dogs home had a very similar dog bought in the other day but he wasn't microchipped so we've emailed pictures of his missing poster over to them and the local RSPCA.
Fingers crossed we'll find him as the weather round here has been so bad i'd hate to think he was still lost outside :(

Welcome on board Scott and thanks for updating us.  I will email you some postering advice and further information.  You are doing the right things, you just need that one poster to be seen and get the phone call you are waiting for.  Good luck.  Jan x Thanks mizzy for posting on Danny's page details have been passed onto k9searchuk. x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Jan, Thanks for the comments.
I've sent a picture to the email address as it doesn't seem to upload correctly.  As for the places we've contacted, my girlfriends mother (the dog owner) has been in touch with all the local vets, dog's homes and the local council and is in regular contact.
I have made posters before finding this site and she has started postering the local area, initially on popular dog walking areas such as Sutton Park. I am heading over again tomorrow to aid putting more posters in local residential areas and shops.

12.10 a.m. Scott_Mac, sorry to see Danny is missing.  Thanks for registering on DL and adding his details, we will do all we can to help you in your search.  Can you please upload photo/s or email to admin@doglost.co.uk (QUOTE ID 18388) or send by mobile phone, any problems with a photo let us know .  You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible, we cannot stress enough the importance of the postering.  Posters can be printed by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be logged in). Is he 12 months or years?  Contact DW's, rescues, vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo).  Dogs can be rehomed after 7 days, try and visit rescues do not rely on phone calls alone.  Great he is Chipped ensure you contact th Chip Co and report him missing and check your details are up to date.  Please update us on who has been contacted i.e. DW's etc and if you have started postering.  You can leave a comment by selecting   Add a comment  just above Comments.  Good luck and hope he is  found soon.  Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
