- The Council DW Section forwarded details of Rufus a Border Terrier onto me as owner has sent them details, I've informed them Rufus (ID 25339) is registered on DL (thank you for the alert). After having discussions throughout the week the Council are now including whether the found dogs on their site are male or female which will help in matching dogs. Jan x

- Thanks J Mo I've had a few discussions with the owner, Council and both kennels over the past couple of days, spoken this afternoon to the DW Section (who had sent me an email in response to conversations earlier with Council/Kennel Staff). The details of the Yorkie were on their site on Sunday and the site is updated on Monday and as the dog has been reunited the details had been taken off. The number you have posted is the number owner contacted as well as the kennels. Thanks again for all your help. Jan x

- Spoken to owner again earlier today, both the kennels that it says on the Council website that dogs are taken to have said they have not had a Yorkie in, owner has not had any luck tracking down where this Yorkie is. If more details are found we will update. Jan x

- Owner has looked at the photo on the site and rang me back she says it looks so much like Sam, they have rang the Dog Warden number on the site and spoken to the DW. I've gone through with them which kennels to ring and they will follow it up tomorrow. Owner is aware that he could of been legally rehomed by now. Fingers crossed it is Sam and he is still in the kennels. Good luck. Jan x

- http://www.cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk/environment/animal_welfare/stray_and_abandoned_dogs/stray_dog_photographs.aspx .... Found 16.09.10 Yorkie very similar to Sam on the Cheshire West & Chester website, does not say if male or female, rehousing date 24.09.10. Spoken to family and emailed the link and details to them. Would be great if it was Sam. Jan x

- Details updated, his name is Sam not Ben as registered, he was wearing black collar and mobile phone number now added. Family are doing a brilliant job already have contacted the right people and started postering. Gone through further things to do and who else to contact. He has been in a local paper which has resulted in phone calls. A lady said she has seen him with someone in the local area, this is being followed up. Family are not very computer literate and a friend has put his details on DL also some other sites. Photo is being sent by mobile phone a.s.a.p. Have explained to owner how to upload to sites that he is on. Local petshop have done posters for them but not the smaller ones which I will do and also email to family once we have a photo. - We're so sorry to see that Ben has gone missing. If you could send a photo of him to admin@doglost.co.uk we will have posters ready for you and helpers to put up and distribute - you can then download them by clicking on Dog Poster 1 at top of his page (you need to be logged in to do this). You need to get these up in the area as soon as possible. Also contact local Council Dog Wardens and local Kennels to see if he has been taken in. It is best to visit in person and not just rely on phone calls, Good luck and hope he's back home soon. Barbara xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
