I am so, so sorry to hear this devastating news. I have to say in my experience traffic has never been a Sheltie strong point and would be my big worry if the boys got lost.
What a lovely girl. Play at the bridge with all my wonderful shelties Meg

I am so very sad to tell you there is an email in admin to say that poor Meg was killed on a local road, not long after she went missing. Her family are absolutely devastated, and only found out today when they contacted the road authorities. Owners do wish to thank Doglost for help in getting Megs' details up quickly, and for contacting them to confirm the information. Such sad sad news. I am so very sorry that beautiful Meg did not make it home. Run free and safe at Rainbow Bridge sweetheart. x

Thanks 'Sheltie's Mum' & Jumani. I'll update the lists. I presume she was off the lead ? Shelties can be easily spooked , but she may well be in hiding near where she went from. Hope we get good news really soon.

I have spoken to Megs owners and clarified that she IS a BLUE MERLE and is a SHELTIE. This girl was just finishing a walk with relatives of the owner when a group of school children appeared and she was spooked and ran off. They have been back to the area searching and postering. Also dog warden, RSPCA and stray kennels informed. I have suggested she may return to the area she ran off from and advised them to scent there. Hoping to see this beautiful girl back home very soon Pam xx

Yes Sheltie Lady she looks more rough collie although my very first one was halfway between the two breeds in looks and registered as a sheltie. Interesting this area is close to the other missing shelties. Will contact Gay (princess) xx

If this is an actual photo of Meg, then she is not a tri, but a blue merle. Can someone please clarify ? I'll cross post to the sheltie / collie forums.
