I have printed off the posters now and will get them up in the South Shore area, its amazing how far such a little dog has got in just a couple of days! All the dog walkers on the beach I have spoken to are aware and looking out, hopefully there will be another sighting soon!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Pleased to report that Charlie is now homesafe - picked up this morning in Freckleton following a call from that area.
Rather footsore and booked in for vet check later today - but otherwise very happy to be home.
His owner will probably tell the full story but meanwhile - thanks to all who cared

Thanks Charlie123 for sending an email to Admin on behalf of owners to alert us he is home. Just spoken to owner they had a phone call this morning from a lady who was following him in Freckleton.   They went over but when he seen them he ran off, this happened a few times.  Owner visited the area again and by chance seen him walking down a lane, owner sat on the floor and gently called him, his ears pricked up and once he realised who it was there was not stopping him, he was all over his mum with kisses. Well done to his owner for taking the right approach which paid off and got the result you wanted. He is very shattered and will be visiting the vets around tea-time.  THANK YOU to everyone who has helped in the search and get him home back with his family.  Give him a big hug and cuddle from everyone on DL he will soon be back to normal with plenty of TLC.  J Great to see him going into the BLUE, welcome home Charlie. Just spoken to owners daughter. Charlie is still missing. Owners spotted him early this morning on Lytham prom but he ran away from them. They're still out searching now.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

11.50 p.m.  Thanks shebodin for helping search for him, unfortunately Charlie's owner was struggling getting a photo to us by mobile phone, they do not have any on their computer.  Too late to ring owner but will try tomorrow for an update but may not be until I finish work later in the day around tea time.  Posters can be printed without a photo by selecting Dog Poster 1 above dog information (you must be logged in). If you do not mind contacting owner yourself it would be greatly appreciated Charlie maybe home.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I went to Morrisons tonight and there is a poster up which I think is Charlie but it doesnt give his name or mention the breed so I am not sure. Is there any posters to print off yet? It could certainly do with a lot more in the retail park where he was seen, also I could get one in my local gym and vet if they are available?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi, Just been told about this by other Starr Gate Beach dog walkers, so sorry to hear lovely Charley is missing, will certainly spread the word down this end of town, and keep an eye out round Morrisons. At least the weather isn't too cold for him and if he does get picked up by the dog warden, his chip will get him home. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Received a text from owner this afternoon, they are having problems sending a photo, they only have one on their phone.  Did speak to them very very briefly as I was in work.  Still not recieved a photo the settings on the phone may not be set up for sending photo/s.  There has been sightings of Charlie by some local shops in the area.  Jan x   Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sorry to see Charlie is missing.  Thanks for registering his details with DL, we will do all we can to help you in your search.  You need to poster poster poster the area as much as possible, we cannot stress enough the importance of the postering.  Posters can be printed once a photo has been added by selecting Dog Poster 1 just above Dog Information (you must be logged in).  Can you please send a photo to Admin as soon as possible.  Contact DW's, rescues, vets and leave a poster (you can find vets in the area by clicking on the logo right hand side just underneath Latest Missing photo).  Dogs can be rehomed after 7 days, try and visit rescues do not rely on phone calls alone.  Please update us on who has been contacted i.e. DW's etc and if you have started postering.  You can leave a comment by selecting  Add a comment  just above Comments.  Good luck and hope he is found soon.
