- UPDATE: Unfortunately there hasn't been a happy ending for this dog My friends hubby was told today that it was shot on a grouse moor some miles from here last week, after it had been seen eating grouse Run free poor black Lab. - Black lab sighted running loose in Lammermuir Hills, Scottish Borders, thought to have been running with Spaniel which was caught by wardens. Dog now alone and sighted in Garvald/Nunraw area recently. Very nervous and unable to tell whether bitch or dog. The dog warden is aware but little that can be done. Has been running wild for at least 2 months and thought to have been dumped in the area along with Springer Spaniel who was caught. This feasibly could have come from anywhere if its been dumped in this area, this is a remote area with many places for dog to feed and hide.
