BRILLIANT NEWS!!! i think it was the finder of the injured dog that made the connection and searched the site themselves. I know rachelhayball ( SCRUPLES WHIPPETS ) was contacted as well.

what a lovely ending and thanks goodness that finder got her to the vets

So - for Muffin, that broken leg may have been a blessing in disguise?! Very well done to the finder for taking care of her, covering her vet costs and registering her on doglost so that she could be reunited with her owners! I hope her leg heals well and Muffin is fighting fit in no time! :)x

I heard of a dog who was made to wear a shock collar, when chasing something the shock would not bother him but coming home was a different matter. He got the warning whilst walking so he would not approach the area knowing he would feel pain, I wonder if this is what this dog has done! If so he could have wandered off or been taken from outside his property. Just a thought.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

To clarify some points and just to add that electric collars are not the shock training sort but a means of keeping dogs contained where there is a large land area and fencing is not an option. Dogs are tranied to use them and they get a warning buzz when they are approaching there boundaries and if they then continue they get a mild shock to remind them.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Photos now uploaded. Muffin wears an electric collar which has always worked to keep dogs inside bounderies. It is therefore thought Muffin may not just have wandered off but could have been picked up by someone. Posters are being put up plus a list of contact kennels has been given to check. Dog warden notified plus flyers done by owners being handed out by local postman who is also on the lookout. Now photo is on site will get doglost style flyers etc to owners so have all numbers on them.  CJLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
