Pleased the finder did look after her well, but it could have saved a lot of heartache if they'd reported her. Anyway, pleased she's now home safe and sound.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Cathy another brilliant one for the BLUE.  Thanks so much for letting us know.  Looks like another one being well looked after but finder has not known they should report them to the DW etc.  Great it has all worked out and so pleased to see her back home and in the BLUE.  Welcome home lovely Cocoa.  Jan x  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thank you everyone for the support and encouragement we have received - so very much appreciated. Cocoa has been returned today by a very kind lady who found her not long after she had been lost. As Cocoa was wandering in the road, fearful that she might be run over, the dog-loving lady took her home to Sheffield, where she has looked after her magnificently for 2 weeks until friends saw our missing dog advert in this week's Worksop Guardian. This experience has made me a better 'citizen' and I will certainly now know to recommend this site to anyone else who finds themselves in a similarly distressing position.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hello, Last night (15th) my dad handed out loads of posters to members at his Dog Training CLub at Clipstone, so I hope this helps. Please keep updating on any progress in the search for Cocoa because he has another group on Thursday and will take some more if needed. Hope you find Cocoa soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

She may hae been pick up by a motorist , so put a A3 size poster up near the road , so it can be seen by passing motorists. Good luck xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks for adding my info.  Yes, Cocoa is Identichipped. We have had news today that she was seen on the road near Worksop College - at the Sparken Hill area of Worksop - in the rain during the evening of Sun 7 June and traffic was slowing for her.  We continue to search and have done all week.  Please spread the word or get in touch if anyone thinks they might have seen her.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Circumstances taken from email in Admin:  Cocoa went missing on Sunday evening at about 6.30 pm whilst owner was on a walk with their other dog.  The rain was heavy and despite calling, whistling and later driving round looking for her until dark there were no sightings.  They drove around again at 2.30 am when the rain had stopped but still nothing and resumed their search at 5am on Monday morning. They've walked the woods where she had last been seen, and further afield all day long and nightr - still nothing.  Again owner rode round during the night and the search began again 6 am this morning.    On Monday they reported her as missing to the local dog warden & kennels and alerted our local gamekeepers who also drove round in the hunt for her.  They notified keepers on the neighbouring Worksop Manor estate which abuts the town of Worksop.  Still nothing.  Today they have produced flyers and sent them/notified the local vets, Police Station, spoken again to the Bassetlaw dog warden who advised them to also contact Newark & Sherwood Dog Wardens, TRAX FM, and doglost.  They have distributed flyers to local shops etc.  However, the area around their house, where Cocoa was lost is woodland with very dense undergrowth of bracken and brambles and nettles.  Their fear is that she has got caught in these or wire.   Cocoa went missing on Sunday 7th June at approx 6.30 pm on Wedding Drive, Welbeck Estate - just south of Worksop before the village of Carburton.  It was heavy rain and thunder, which might have been the cause for her running off.    Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
