Hi all thanks for the comments very much appreciated by us all. we had a police officer round to speak to us yesterday and gave them all the relevant information even down to the place were Diesel was first taken. We found this address due to Diesel taking me and my son for a walk and sitting right outside the house. We asked the neighbours about this and they immediatley recognised Diesel Saying he was barking all night very loudly. The police took all the details and told me there is nothing i can do as it is a civil matter. It does not feel like a civil matter to me but just to get him back is great. P.s as i look on the site i just wish everyone has the same fortune as we have had good luck to you all and keep up the good work.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

matcamholl - yes, thanks for the update - it's always nice to hear the full reunited story! I'm so pleased that Diesel is ok and that he passed his 'health check' with flying colours - he certainly looks a very healthy lad! And how wonderful that you came across two lovely caring chaps like Andy & James - a huge THANK YOU and well done to them. It's so lovely to hear things like that in this day and age. Also pleased to hear that Diesel is now sporting a nice new and shiny ID tag, minus his name of course. It's a thing many that owners used to do back in the 'old days' (not that long ago really!) when there wasn't as much dog theft going on but these days an ID tag should never carry the dog's name and, as you say, he's already a bit of a local celebrity now! I noticed that Diesel does have very distinct white check markings (always 'useful') - it's looks similar to an upside down 'Y'. Great to hear that your local community police team have shown interest in DogLost - thanks for spreading the word. Anyway, all for now - all that remains is for me to wish you all a fabulous weekend together and love and best wishes to handsome Diesel for a long, happy and healthy life... x Keep safe boy!

Hi all thanks for all the kind words and support from everyone on the website and for all the people in Hampton who spent so many hours looking for Diesel with us.I have to mention two young lads who were seaching with me for diesel on the first night well past midnight Andy and james you are top guys also were out at five the following morning as well. When we got diesel home we have had him checked by the vets and he has been given a clean bill of health. The  guys named above came straight round and Diesel has been showered with presents from all of the people who helped .P.s yes Diesel does have an i.d tag as well now no name on it but everyone knows him now anyway. Many thanks once again. Just one more thing to add tonight i mentioned the website to the local pcso in the orton area and they are going to let the public know about the website they were very keen to know more so left them some flyers and they were very impressed.  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

So pleased to hear that Diesel is back home safe and sound. What a gorgeous face! It's good that he was chipped but could this very precious boy have an ID tag on his collar as a welcome home present?!

Congratulations on getting your boy back. Owners set fantastic example by getting a campaign going very early and making Deisel too hot to handle. Hope he's feeling better soon from his ordeal. Nice to have you onboard to help with others too, PE area will benefit!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

HOME !!!  Full credit to these owners for takeing on board all advice given, and acting on it. Posters and flyers everywhere. As a result information received this morning by telephone call of an area Diesel was thought to be in. Owner has now recovered his dog safely. Diesel is rather subdued and traumatised by the event, and is going to the vets to be checked over, but otherwise seems ok. Very very well done to owners who did not get much support from any of the authorities. They are also going to stay on as helpers for which we are very grateful. Well done once again, and please take the posters down now. Welcome home Diesel. You are a very very lucky boy xx  Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Diesel has gone missing from Hampton Hargate Nature Reserve in a matter of moments, at 7.00pm on evening of 9th June. Owners searched the area from then until midnight with about 15 friends and helpers and no sign of Diesel, so quite likely he has been taken. Diesel is on medication and needs to be found as soon as possible. I have given advice and will send through documents to assist, later this evening. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
