If the police know who the lady is, could they find where she works and interview work colleagues for information??

Police Liaison have been sent your Comment. Thank you captain x
Captain
It has just been posted on a local FB page that over the last 24 hours there has been an online campaign against Goffy's family and people helping search for him by fake profiles/profiles who then block comments:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/966834066856719/permalink/2171920813014699/?sfnsn=scwspmo&ref=share
Can Police Liaison assist owners with this in any way?
Jdkd1104
Now the police are involved, can they not locate the lady and find where she lives and scan any dogs there to check microchips??
Tee
Any CCTV footage we can share?
TrudielovesMax!
I agree Jenny, whoever has taken Geoff, return him to his RIGHTFUL owner. He needs to be made "TOO HOT TO HANDLE". Paws, and fingers xd for Geoff`s safe return.

A crime refence number has been issued by West Midlands Police who are in contact with Goffy's owners.
It is unbelievable that anyone thinks they can just take someone else's pet leaving young children heartbroken the way this woman has.

If you know anything about Goffys whereabouts please phone 101 quoting 20/807602/23 or Crimestoppers which is 100% confidential on 0800 555111 quoting west midlands 20/807602/23Last edited: 2023-09-16 08:36:03 by Emma S -- Regional co-ordinator Central

Personal visits and phone calls being made to NHS organisations locally
Jdkd1104
Now you have CCTV footage could you email stills along with stolen poster to local NHS practices and businesses to see if anyone recognises them, a lot of practices now seem to only action if requests are in writing not by phone calls.
DogLostEmma S -- Regional co-ordinator Central
Thank you Jdkd1104 we are phoning around all the nhs practices
DogLostPoochpal - Regional Co-ordinator - South West - Police Liaison Team
Posters now upgraded to stolen. If you are in the area please print and display posters to make this boy too hot to handle. It has been a week now so the finder has been given enough time to do the right thing.

Do hope there is good news on Goffy soon, Owners must be so worried. Please Finder just hand to a Vet and say you found him. It is that easy x
Jdkd1104
Could the owner email practice managers of local NHS practices, most practices have contact forms on there websites and see if they would reach out to there employees, work colleagues must know who this is.
DogLostPoochpal - Regional Co-ordinator - South West - Police Liaison Team
A report has been made to the police, awaiting a crime reference number. Till this is issued the person who has Goffy still has time to either return to his owner or hand to any vet practice and no further action will be taken.
Jdkd1104
Sounds like this is a police matter now.Theft by finding.
Law states finder must try to find the legitimate owner. Refusal to return the dog when owner is found is unlawful and an offence. As you now have CCTV evidence of lady owner should also contact practice managers of local NHS practices just in case they know the lady, NHS will not be happy dog stolen wearing lanyard, she has no intention to return this dog as she would have done so already.Last edited: 2023-09-13 06:35:42 by Jdkd1104

Thank you Emma.
Hopefully now all authorities are aware Goffy will be taken to the nearest vet. His chip is flagged as missing if scanned so can readily be reunited with his family quickly.
DogLostEmma S -- Regional co-ordinator Central
Hi Vizslamum - we think the person who has Goffy is keeping him safe and doesnt realise the situation - we are working with all of the main agencies in the area to bring him home
Vizslamum
Can the police be involved?
Hoping this little one is found safe and soon and returned to their rightful owner. xxx

Thank you Jayne. The owner isn't very fluent with typing but better in spoken English if local coordinator wishes to contact.
