- LOUIE IS HOME !!!!!!!!!!! Had a call about 4pm from ecstatic owner to say Louie was back and on his knee. Owner received an anonymous phone call today and they gave address of where Louie was. Owner went straight round to the given address and they did indeed have Louie ... he was handed straight back -- the person who had him said they were going to put an ad in the Telegraph and Argus this weekend. Hmmm !! I'm delighted this little fella is back home with his family. He is being taken to the vets as has a problem with his leg and he is now going to get a microchip. Welcome home Louie and well done owner as you worked really hard and got the result we hoped for. Owner has had difficulty posting comments so has asked me to do it and to pass on his thanks to everyone at Doglost for helping.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Spoke to Matty tonight and he has already got lots of posters up in the area - Birkenshaw/Gomersal have advised him to POSTER as much as possible as this is so effective in alerting people to dogs that are new in their locality and reiterated the earlier posting regarding getting them into pubs in the area. The police have been notified and a reference no obtained. Suggested to get an ad into Telegraph & Argus and Yorkshire Post. Dog wardens in the surrounding areas have been notified and some kennels ie Marina and Springfield, were given to owner by dog warden though informed him Marina not in operation any longer,. It is important the stray kennels are checked in person even though Louie is a distinctive dog. Advised checking freeads , gumtree and the for sale ads also. Emailing more contact details to Matty Someone must know where Louie is and am hoping he is found soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Hi Matt, admin will do some flyers for you if you ask them and they will e mail them to you, there are 4 to a page, so you can cut them up and put them through doors and give them to people, target the dog walkers as they are the most likely ones to keep their ears and eyes open, I have seen some of your posters up, if you want to print of the Dog Lost posters you have to be logged on and then click on poster 1,top left hand of louie's picture, get your friends and family to put one up in their cars, good luck in your search hope he his home soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Hi Matt, any news on Louie, you seem to be having trouble leaving a comment, just click on add comment, then leave your message and then click on update, for some reason the poster that I put up yesterday at Oakwell was pulled down, I have put a couple more up today, you need to be blitzing the area with posters, if he has just gone missing somebody may have found him and thought that he is cute and will keep him, the more posters up the more chance of you getting him back.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Region wants altering to North East, Matt you need to get as many posters up as possible around Gomersal, Birkenshaw, Birstal, ask the local pubs to display a poster and all the local shops. I only managed to put 1 poster up at Oakwell as the printer went off due to the storm, will put some more up tomorrow. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Need to get as many posters out there as possible, contact local dog warden, stray dog kennels (not sure which they are, could be Springfield, Marina and /or Fleet kennels), and local vets. The more people who know he's missing, the more people that are on the lookout for him. Hopefully someone has taken him in. Good luck.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
