(The last update I'll put on as Harvey & his owners are home)

One week ago today my baby ran out of my parents house whilst I was on my first day of my holiday in Rhodes later that day he was hit by a car and Harvey ran off limping just over 24 hours later Harvey was found by a member of public who was out looking for him. He was then taken to the vets and his injuries were so bad me and Danny Steadman was told he had to have his leg amputated which wasn’t the easiest thing to hear over the phone being thousands of miles away. After a really difficult holiday today I was reunited with my baby. He’s doing really well thanks to the amazing vets at Rutland Veterinary Centre In Uppingham he’s really tired atm. I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who’s helped this past week by helping look for him by sharing my posts and for all the gifts everyone has donated which I’m sure harvey-Roy will enjoy when he’s fully recovered from his operation also a massive thank you to all the generous donations for his go fund me page which has helped him stay in the vets until we arrived back home it took a massive weight of our shoulders knowing our baby was safe and being well cared for. A personal thank you to Sharon Stone and Paul Searson for making sure my boy had the best care and visiting him each day.

What mixed emotions you must be going through. Elated to find your lovely boy, angry at the godawful idiot who hit and didn’t or wouldn’t stop and sadness that he has had to have such drastic surgery.
I hope the person that hit him is found and bought to justice, and that Harvey makes a speedy and full recovery and lives the long lived happy, loved and treasured life he deserves. xxx

From owner: Hi everyone just thought I’d update you on Harvey. After he was found last night he was taken to the vets as he had many wounds due to being hit by a car (the driver did not stop so any information on this please message me or contact the police) unfortunately today he’s had his back right leg amputated and his back left leg has several wounds but they’ve all been cleaned and bandaged up and he’s on antibiotics for this. Thanks again to everyone that went out looking for him and everyone that shared my posts really means a lot.

Don’t give up on the AirTag , keep checking as air tag has long life battery ( up to a year) , but will only ping a location if someone is within blue tooth distance (around 30ft) with an iPhone .. of your dog, if your dogs gone to ground it may not ping for several days unless someone passes close to where your dog is hiding ..

Post from owner; Please help me find my boy he went missing around 11am this morning he has an air tag on but unfortunately it’s stopped updating at 4:30 pm. The air tag last update was him on Weldon road near the timber place. He was possibly sighted near rockingham speedway at 9pm but not sure if it was him. He’s scared of most things and won’t approach you. So please don’t run after him as this will only scare him. To make things worse I’m not in the country and Corby is an unfamiliar place to him as we live in stevenage but he’s staying at my parents. If you do see him please contact me,
Danny Steadman, Yvonne Bland Paul Searson Karen Georgeson or ring +44 330 124 2004 (drone to home) immediately. Don’t run after him please his name is Harvey and he’s around knee height. I want to be able to pick him up from my parents when I return from my holiday

Owner will be ringing Corby radio in the morning. Vets have been contacted & owner will be trying microchip company tomorrow (they can't log in at the moment).
