e mail from owner:   Great news!!! We have got Dash back, sadly Orvis is still missing although am now feeling hopeful that tomorrow we may be able to track him down. I had spoken to a guy in the village who has lurchers, he in turn had spoken to one of his mates in the pub, who was a farmer around 5 miles away, who had seen Dash several times since Tuesday morning on his land. She had been taking a similar path, across his land to a stream, having searched all of his outbuildings, we found where she had been sleeping. The farmer had tried to coax her out of a hedge but she was too scared. However he had got our neighbours phone number from one of her posters, called her and she drove down there, where her daughter, ( who Dash loves) called for her and she came running!  I feel sure that Orvis, who is much friendlier may have been taken in by one of the cottages or houses between there and home so am going to leaflet all of the houses in that area, as they are all fairly remote. The one downside is that there is a dual carriageway between where Dash was found , and home but am praying he is safe. Am so grateful for all that you and your team have done for us this far and will make a donation on payday, to help you all in your work. Hopefully will have more news of Orvis tomorrow. Poor Dash is sleeping now in front of a big log fire, after a chicken dinner. She looks like a bag of bones and is full of nerves but she went crazy when she finally arrived home and was leaping around like a mad thing! Really fantastic and am so happy, although emotions are a bit mixed until we can get her brother home. Will get a picture to you tomorrow, even though she looks pretty grim. Will contact the other rescue homes tomorrow to let them know and also that we are only looking for Orvis now. Will take Dash to the vets on Monday to get her checked over and chipped.   Thanks so much and also thank Rose very much for me   Keep up the great work, your support has really made a difference,   With my heartfelt best wishes,Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Photo and email address of owner now added. Owners have made contacts and visted kennels in the wider area also postered 20 mile radius. Due to the fact that there have been no sightins these 2 may have been picked up. There has also been another lurcher reported missing 10 miles away.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
