Peggy (we believe) was spotted running past Ipsen church at 4.30pm on Thursday. This is south of her home. Report from farmer this morning.

Has the gamekeeper been spoken to, he would not have been impressed if a noisy little hound was hunting on his patch the day before a shoot.Last edited: 2023-10-29 15:16:16 by SuzeeBee

No news at all on Peggy. Ground searches have revealed nothing and there's enough 'dinner' in the area to feed her forever. DogLost and a couple of other specialist groups are on the case. I've been drafted in to help on comms.

Gavirob - have you asked owners of stables to ask their riders to keep an eye out for Peggy while out and about? Riders on horseback often have a better view over hedges into fields.
There is also Grim's Ditch running across the map to the south of the stables - another hazard for a small dog.

Still no sign of Peggy. She escaped from owners' field and into the neighbours' horse field before disappearing into the wood. Despite a local pheasant shoot today, she hasn't reappeared. It's a pretty rural area with no other houses around. However, it's a bit close to the A4130. :(

Have also asked for a share on Benson Village Community (private group).
As an ex resident I am hoping Admin will approve my membership request, or if not publish a post themselves.

Gavinrob - have you alerted owners of all nearby barns and stables in case Peggy has chased a small critter into one and got stuck behind/between stacked hay or straw bales, or just found a cosy corner to hide?

Petit Basset community informed last night. Peggy is from the Sole Trader kennels who raised so much money for DogLost 10 years ago.Last edited: 2023-10-28 10:07:43 by Didothepbgv
