- There is a post on Facebook about a very similar looking terrier found in Park Wood, Maidstone, which is now with the the RSPCA appeal line number on 0300 123 8018. The description says Paterdale but the photo looks like Coco

- I am trying to update Coco's photo but the site won't let me?

- Absolutely no further sign of any dog, cameras only showing foxes and hares as well as lots of field mice and robins. So we can only conclude the sighting was mistaken and it was a fox. As the location of the sighting is in sight of our back window we have been constantly looking with binoculars etc and nothing at all for 8 weeks, so unlikely to be her.

- Thank you to everyone who is suporting me with the search for the two girls. FYI I checked with the lady who saw Coco on the road on Friday 8th Dec as there was a small fox on the camera last night that could have been mistaken for her if you didn't get a clear view. I'm glad I checked with her as she said it was definitely a Coco-like dog and definitely not a fox (country person who would know the difference). Apparently, the dog jumped into the road and hesitated a few moments before jumping back into the hedge, so she and her daughters all got a good look. That extra information has really helped me keep my energy up with this, as otherwise it is pretty sad work with no further sighting.

- Nothing on the cameras except for birds and mice enjoying the food. Lots of local support keeping an eye out for them both which really helps. There are plenty of mice out there in the hedges to keep a ratting terrier fed naturally so fingers crossed they are happy fending for themselves. I'll keep en eye on the cameras and feed station as. see how it goes. Last edited: 2023-12-17 19:16:39 by Cotswoldsrchilly

- No food or movement detected in the crate last night but some food taken a bit further down the hedge line (no camera there). No other obvious signs

- Great that you have access to a wildlife camera. I use 2 SD cards so that when food is out down I can swap them over and take home the one that has been in use to view rather than trying to see on the small screen.
Good down, swap cards and walk away to avoid spoiling Coco if she's watching. - 2023-12-09 19:28 Cotswoldsrchilly
- No obvious sign yet, but the food I left out last night was still there at 9am but it had gone by dusk this evening so fingers crossed she was the one that took it. I’ve moved the crate closer to that location and added some fresh dog food. I sat up there for an hour morning and dusk but no sign. A friend is hopefully lending me a wildlife camera for the crate tomorrow.

- WEll done!

- I’ve put a cage up there just inside the field, covered with horse rugs and put some dog food, my coat and her bed in it.
I’ve been told to hang out there in the car with the door open for periods of time and literally not call much, possibly sing! And be super patient as it may take several days.
The dog food I left out last night hasn’t been touched so perhaps she’s having a lie in.
I’ll Keep you posted - 2023-12-09 09:15 Jayne - Founder Doglost.
- Paws crossed the traps may help.

- I have messaged our Gloucestershire volunteers who I know have traps available and will bump Coco's page due to the sighting.
It is important for the area to be kept as quiet as possible to avoid frightening her to move out of area. Please can food be left in a safe place for her. - 2023-12-08 21:22 Cotswoldsrchilly
- Any possibility of borrowing a trap please? Coco is nervous at the best of times, and if she is in a feral state now, I don’t think she would even come to me. It is all so odd where she is within sight of home!

- Coco was seen jumping out of the lane into the thick hedge tonight 4.20pm. There are lots of deep rabbit holes in that hedge line. It is only 2 fields away from home, so presumably she is now in feral mode if she isn't coming home by herself. No sign of Twiglet though. I stayed where she was seen for a couple of hours tonight, smelly clothes, and some dog food but no sign. Our neighbours dogs walk past there most afternoons, and have been acting over interested in the exact spot for the past 2 days, so that is promising. We took them back there tonight but no sign, so presumably Coco has gone back to ground.

- Still no sign at all.
- 2023-12-03 09:45 Cotswoldsrchilly
- Still absolutely no sign of them. We are still walking the valleys, just in case. Just praying now.

- Thanks for your help with this. We have walked the two local badgers setts several times daily since they went missing on Saturday. Sometimes with other dogs and just no sign of them at all. We’ve put out FB posts that have been widely shared. We live on a rat run for a heavily congested main road A417 so get all sorts of non local traffic at times, so it is not inconceivable they have been picked up. A horse trailer was stolen a couple of miles away last night that makes you wonder. Feeling rather despondent tonight. Just feels odd that both would be gone with no sign.
