- So pleased to see that Copper has been found. I had a feeling she would'nt be far away. I live quite near you and have been looking for her locally. Good idea to put in Cambrian News though. Stay safe now Copper. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Cooper has been returned thanks to her people's first class publicity efforts. It's an extraordinary tale.Copper's mum who posts here as pops received a phone call, number withheld, from a woman who said she had found her and left her with some people who were waiting to go into the local animal sanctuary. The sanctuary knew nothing about this and the trail went cold, until a lovely couple from Aberystwyth made contact as a result of publicity and said they had been given Copper. The mystery woman had given Copper to them with some story about her having been dumped and left tied up. This woman had Copper for 3 days with intention to keep, but her own dogs didn't accept the newcomer. The couple would not accept a reward. They have taken very good care of Copper and had become really fond of her.
If only people would realise that you can't just pick up a dog and keep it or rehome it as you please! By not handing Copper in to the DW that woman caused nearly 2 weeks of acute distress to pops and her family, and further distress to the Aberystwth people when they had to return a dog they had bonded with. They will now be adopting a rescue dog, which was their original intention when they went to the sanctuary.

- Oh excellent news! I bet the owners are overjoyed, especially the little 19 month old boy! My daughter is 19 months, and I know she would really miss our dog if she went missing. Well done, and welcome home Copper! xx

- There has been no sign of Copper. Owners have called, dog wardens, pounds, vets, animal welfare officer, local radio station, and put up posters. She went missing from home at about 10ish on the Saturday, she is not a wanderer, she always stays close to home. Owners have another dog, a Rotty and had a relatives Jack Russell there that day. Owners are now very concerned that Copper may have been stolen by holiday makers that have left the area. There is a little boy pining for his dog. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- 23.55 - So sorry to see Copper is missing. We will do all we can to help. You need to poster the area extensively, as quickly as possible. There is a poster available for you now. Click on DOG POSTER 1, above the dog detail boxes, left hand side towards the top and the poster will open up. You will need to print hundreds, and plaster the area, and everywhere lots of people go. Do inform dog warden, police, RSPCA, PDSA, and all rescue centres and vets in case picked up and handed in. Good Luck and hope Copper is home soon. I will send you an information sheet.
