Contact local vets, dog wardens and local rescue centres.Give them all a detailed description of your dog plus any marks scars or other distinguishing features. If you can go down there each day to check for your dog that is the best thing as they only have to hold a dog for 7 days before it can be legally rehomed or in some cases destroyed. It is also worth contacting local police, if someone has found your dog then they may well have contacted the police. Get as many posters out as you possibly can. If you put a photo on this web site you can create and download posters. It is very important to get as many posters up as you possibly can. From these you will get sightings of your dog and ots of extra pairs of eyes will be looking for your dog. If your dog is microchipped or tattooed then say so on the posters, and dont forget to call the tattoo or microchip company to tell them your dog is missing. Get them to check their records and confirm they have the correct contact details for you. Poster everywhere, bus stops, train stations, supermarket/retail parks, pet shops, petroll stations, lay by snack vans, service stations, bins, poo bins, lamposts, cafes, garden centres, leisure centres, basically anywhere people go you need to poster. Give them to bin men, postmen, milkmen. Tell everyone you meet while out searching, the more people that know, the better. Contact local radio stations and newspapers, put an ad in the lost and found section.
