- Mabel has been missing since Good Friday when she was caught in the act of killing a neighbours' chickens. She was screamed at and kicked and ran away terrified and has not been seen since. Despite various sightings which proved to be another similar coloured dog but with longer legs, we have not heard anything about her. We have put posters of her for miles around, ads in papers, endless telephone calls , visits to dog's homes, a mail-drop through hundreds of letter-boxes, visits to gypsy camps and fairs etc - all to no avail. She is the friendliest of dogs and she loves everyone and would happily get into a car with anyone. She loves other dogs and children. She was attacked by a bull mastiff at the begining of the year and was lucky to survive the attack. As a result of this, she has two massive scars on her left side. One on her hind leg and one on her side. When we lost her in April the fur had not grown back over them. She has very short legs (thanks to her Jack Russell father) and a reasonably long body (whippet/bedlington mother) and four white legs and white tummy but the rest of her is black. She is a much loved member of this family, hugely missed by all of us as well as her lurcher companion Fudge who has pined for her for weeks now. Thank you.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
