Yes indeed, excuse the fuzzy brain, I did realise about the neutering!He could have been brought in privately from Spain then he wouldn't have been neutered.Glad he has a good home for the moment.  I love Galgos with a passion.

For those who may not know, Andrea makes fantastic coats, beds, collars etc. If I am not mistaken that is one of the collars that he is wearing. I hope he is settling in well.

the sadness in his eyes. i am so pleased he is not going to the horrible pound....since taking in a lurcher from our local pound i am so in love with this breed...if i can help in anyway....i have lots of lovely lurcher coats if you need one...just give me a ring.....i have just took in a stray greyhound type - and he is not going to any pound....these dogs are just so mistreated...and have such wonderful natures.

ruzep - if he had come from abroad then he would have had to been microchipped to get a pet passport.

Just spoke to Pat from GIN and she says he won't be one they have rehomed as he is neutered  but she will pass the word round.

I have one of these dogs, to be recognised by the long tail which comes up through the legs and is long enough to then be brought up and across the spine, and by the almond eyes.  He is not a saluki x but a GALGO ESPANOL.  Will have been rescued from Spain originally, prob by Greyhounds In Need, and then into quarantine and then rehomed.  Mine also has lots of scars on his legs from the bad treatment in Spain where they are sadly abused.  I will try and do some digging and get back here soon.   It is a bit odd though that he is entire as they are always neutered in the quarantine kennels before rehoming.

He has been registered with the relevant authorities but will be "doing his time" with me instead of in the pound and if no owner is found then he will be neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and rehomed as a "Lurcher Link" dog with full rescue back-up

Please God. Let someone give this boy a warm quilt, some good food and a lovely forever home. I'm a massive lurcher lover and in different circumstances would be providing all of those things for him. Jenny M

He was found at 6am this morning near Barrow Hill in Chesterfield. He has old and new scarring to his legs and body and a large bruise under his chest. He is very underweight and has urine burns on his legs. He is about 25"tts. No dewclaws and not neutered. I don't think the pics uploaded
