- I have had a look at the Postering Pack and think it is very useful. We now have another dog (Lu Lu) that has disappeared with no sightings since Saturday. Advice has been given to the owners and the dog should be up on the website soon. Thanks for all the help given to the owner. MandyLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Mandy I spoke to Ted's mum yesterday and suggested they give you a call with a view to you possibly helping to trace the chip details. I seem to recall that they did rescue him locally - Dog Trust was mentioned during our conversation so it may have been there. They can't work out why the chip details can't be found as previously he was lost while on a walk and I'm sure they said it did then --it's a mystery! I've given them some advice on where to poster and have also sent them a copy of Yasa's postering info pack which is fantastic. Just incase Ted has been moved out of the Earley area I've left Posters with Valley Vets in Pangbourne,Tutts Clump & Spencers Wood and will try to get to Pets at Home nr Rose Kiln Lane to leave a poster.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Thanks for the help. It may depend on the rescue that Ted came from, if it was one of my local ones then I could certainly do a bit of digging. Let me know, if you know! MandyLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Thanks Mandy for the info. I spoke to Ted's dad today - yes he apparently dug a hole and escaped under the back garden fence. His owner thinks he is 6/7yrs old - he is a rescue dog. Although microchipped his owner is having problems as the chip details aren't registering I gather they were done by the rescue centre which can't trace the details. Is there anything you can do to help as if he had been found the chip would be ineffective. I've advised him to contact Doglost HQ to get Ted's details ammended and also have a contact number added - I can see it has been added now. He has done some postering around the parks etc but it isn't nearly enough so I suggested he put missing leaflets in the local free paper and if possible put an ad in the Reading Post. I also said he should ask if Yasa at Doglost could email him with the Postering info that she sent me for REDLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Ted went missing from his garden I believe. No sightings since! Dog walks have been postered but the area he went from is an urban area, loads of houses. Ted's house almost backs on to a park which runs along the River Loddon. Also not far from the railway line! There are also some people who live near by that I got a stolen dog off in the past. I don't think they have any dogs at the moment but..... Ted hasn't had any publicity but the chip company has been informed. I hope this helps. MandyLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Hi Beezle, Poor Ted where can he be as 2 weeks is a long time! Do you know how Ted went missing etc.Has anything been put in the Reading Post + free newspapers? Have local dog walks been postered? Has the microchip company been informed? Have Vets been informed? I was going to ring Ted's owners to get more details but there isn't a phone number on the poster other that of Doglosts. I live the other side of Reading so am not too familiar with the Earley area but would be happy to try to help out even if it's just to poster the Vets etc. and pass the word around. When I know more I will get in touch with the other helpers to see what they can do to help.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Is there anyone in the area who can help with some postering as Ted is still missing. Owner has done some postering but as there have been no sightings of him it looks as though someone may have him. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
